Stephanie Mavunga

I think she should choose Tennessee... Kentucky doesn't utilize post I think the last time they ran their offense through a post player was when they had Victoria Dunlap.. Furthermore she would be bored to death playing in the Big 10 yes they did add Maryland and Rutgers and yes that game was pretty awesome, but it was nothing out of the norm it was what we typically see in the SEC.. Her style of play ,chemistry with Diamond , her presence would all fit in at Tenn... But even if she doesn't choose UT she would pretty much prosper wherever she goes.

Excellent post j89!!! Kentucky ran through their post a couple years ago with Walker and that other girl that was pretty good, her name escapes me right now but she was better than Walker and Kentucky went to her quite often. I do agree with you on Mavunga, she'll fit perfectly with UT after Bash leaves. O and WELCOME TO THE BOARD! :)

That a high standard was set in 1908 and has yet to be exceeded, anything after 1908 is merely a imitation lol...
But back on track when it was announced that she would be chosing between KY OSU and Tenn.. I can honestly say with a straight face that she is going to choose Tenn... OSU has yet to really just show that they are a final four team they just seem to crumble come tourney time it's been second rounds and barely sweet 16's since 04. Remember in the 06 tourney when they gave them the final #1 and they got embarrassed by Brooke Queenan and Boston College it's been ehhh okay ever since then.. Plus the last good big girl to come out of OSU was Jantel Lavender and they never surrounded her with ballers... Honestly if she wants to cut down nets she's gonna flock to Rocky Top.. All the makings are brewing up in Pratt Pavilion

Ohio State just hired a new coach a few years ago, and has recruited very well since, and WHEN was it announced she was choosing between those three schools?

Yesssssss, you know you just gave me life with your first sentence! Lol but anyhow Lavender and Davenport....I dont know if you remember her but they were two of my favorite post players ever, especially Lavender, I hate they couldn't make it anywhere. Now with Mavunga, it wouldnt be completely out of wack if she chooses OSU, they have a bona fide baller in Mitchell and the coach is starting to recruit pretty well. I do agree with you though that if winning a championship is one of her goals then UT would be the best choice out of the 3 schools you mentioned.

So is UT doing any heavy recruiting for 2016 and 2017

Now that I really dont know too much about....I think for 2016 we're going after the #1 recruit Lauren Cox but most think she won't leave Texas

2017 I think we've had an unofficial visit from Kasiyahna Kushkituah...she's #3 per espn hoopgurlz. Of course we're going after the #1 Megan Walker....she loves football so hopefully we can get her in on a game day. The atmosphere should be helpful. I also think we're going after Rellah Boothe, she's #2 in that class per espn. Im sure we're going after others but those are top priority I hope.

Yea Cox is probably gonna to with Baylor it's like 2 hours from her hometown.. Texas schools do all they can to keep em in state lol, but the talent pool out here is huge and girls are willing to play. But realistically we need to get to a final four and start cutting nets in order to get these girls. Are we really the school of elite 8's like that would be fine for say ummm Florida idk lol.. I hate to bring up Uconn but Geno is getting top notch recruits for a reason the man has been pulling in titles non stop and he low and behold that combo of Samuelson Collier and Dangerfield is Stewart Mos-Lewis and Jefferson all over again

I'm not counting her out lol.. Just taking into consideration that she does have a quality program right in her home state. I'll give credit where it's due Baylor has been pretty good since the exit of Griner and Simms plus Mulkey has recruited well so who knows lol... I can see her in Tenn's system though

Baylor got Kalani Brown 6'5" and Beatrice Mompremier 6'4", both 5 star centers last year don't thank Lauren Cox will go there.

Saw her play, Mavunga, last night against Puerto Rico, she is a winner pure and simple. Would be a great post for us.

For some reason they have her playing behind Reimer and it is looking like she is a much better player than Reimer. She came off the bench in game two to hit 6 of 7 shots. She also played very well in her time on the court in game three.
She would give us a terrific opportunity to win a National Championship the two seasons she would play here. She is a good defender and excellent offensive player.

She's got to make her decision soon, yes, as I assume she'll be enrolled somewhere in the fall. Let's hope it is Ktown.

Pan-American team escapes with win over Cuba 65 to 64. Linnae Harper of Kentucky was big down the stretch hitting a big three and two free throws to get the USA in the lead. She then stole the ball as Cuba was playing for the last shot to win.

man, I'd have giggled like a school girl if they had lost, what with them having 2 uconners on the team. errbody knows they're supposed to be unbeatable... lol

You would have been happy if a USA team had lost because they had uconn players on it ?
