Steve McNair found, shot to death

Not one shred of that was proven...NONE of it. Everything was speculative and opinion. NO abuse could be proven. What could be proven is the witch shot him in the back with a shotgun while he slept and even initially lied about the circumstances. And yet she got a slap on the wrist. To most people with common sense...THAT case was open and shut.

The reason the jury believed the testimony about alleged abuse was because many of the people who worked with him daily at that church testified to his controlling nature. They didn't come out and say it but they many of them (church members) believed that abuse was a real possibility given his nature. I am not saying this is right, personally I don't believe abuse should even be considered in a murder trial. Abuse is no green light to kill.

All I am pointing out is the very different circumstances here. The fact that the weapon was not a weapon of convenience, it was a weapon that was bought a few days before for the purpose of killing McNair, that kind of evidence is hard to overcome in a trial.

And your posts pretty much keep proving my point....the lawyers create the POSSIBILITY of anything being true and take the focus off the actual evidence.

It's not very different at all because the tatic would be the same. Given McNair is now pretty much a proven cheater on his wife, who knows all the affairs they would pull up on him and paint him to be a womanizer that uses women for what he wants then lets them go. They would go out of their way to try and convince the jury that HE pushed this woman to the point of her killing him by his actions.

But you are missing the biggest point in my argument. The chances of her being able to overcome the fact that she bought the weapon that killed him a few days before his death. This is very damning evidence. When a murder happens and there is a weapon of convenience (like the case you mentioned) there tends to be more sympathy for the female killer. When the weapon is purchased for the intent of killing someone for revenge, there isn't sympathy, they view that as calculated.

In most cases I agree, but I've just seen too many cases of obvious open and shut cases come back with mind boggling verdicts. I'm not saying it's not damning evidence, I'm just saying I can see a lawyer even spinning that at least somewhat in her favor.

What if every player that cheated on their wife got done this way?

This was and is my favorite Oiler/Titan

she's a whore, yet McNair was the one who had a history of promiscuity while being married?
That is right.....you dont like it oh well.....She is a piece of trash.....

Oh but cheating on your wife should be punishable by death....I forgot about that......:good!:

where did i saw anything about him deserving to die for it? i was simply pointing out the hypocrisy in calling her a whore when he was the one with multiple girlfriends AND a wife. had he been at home with his wife and family, do you think this would have happened?

Steve wasn't loyal to his wife, if that makes him a whore then it does. On the other hand we have a 20 year old girl who got with a 30 something year old man, she was obviously taken with his celebrity and there is no way you can convince me there weren't dollar signs in her eyes when they hooked up! In my book this would make her little better than a common prostitute.

She had common issues for a girl at her age, including wanting things she couldn't afford. McNair was stupid to help her with that vehicle and for taking her on trips. We will never know if he actually told her he was leaving his wife for her. It is obvious that she wanted this relationship to go somewhere he was not ready for, she wasn't rational by any means in her expectations as evidenced by her assertions they were going to move in together, and telling some people she knew that she was pregnant with his baby.

I fault Steve on two main points 1) not being faithful to his wife 2) being involved with a 20 year old woman with many issues, some of which we may never know. It was the latter that got him killed.

Where did you hear this?

Yesterday the police chief was on 104.5 and he said they talked to her friends from D&B (where she worked) and this was mentioned by some of them.

Hmm...I hadn't heard that. If she had been it would have showed up in the autopsy
