Strong is a great coach. Strong is a great recruiter. Strong knows how to celebrate. Strong is better than any coach in the SEC. I have no way to prove it, but Strong is awesome!!!!

Was LSU settling for mediocrity when they hired a coach with an above-average record at Michigan State?

Were they settling for average when they hired a coach from Oklahoma State with a similar record to replace him?

Was Auburn going for mediocrity when they hired the Wyoming coach to replace Doug Barfield?

What we have here is a coach who took over a program with two conference wins over two seasons and turned them into conference champions in three years' time.

That isn't mediocre. That defines getting the job done and done quickly.

There is a reason Louisville is willing to put him on an elite-level in terms of pay in order to keep him. He's done an excellent job there and will continue to make progress in the ACC if they are able to retain his services.

666 Kiffin, Dooley, Strong. Another six letter in his last name coach. Hopefully he can do what the other two couldn't or wouldn't.

FTR i'm a Strong fan (not my 1st choice, but he's a good coach), but everyone has a right to their own opinion. Imo he's a good coach, but he does bring question marks, you don't have the right to tell everyone what to think about him like your word is the final verdict.

Great post. He would be a beast on the recruiting trail and his players love him and work their asses off for him. Thats the kind of coach want. He is a tough love kind of coach but like i said players love him. Cant say that for our last coach. Dont understand bashing him before he even has a presser. If the Louisville AD is willing to make him the highest paid coach in football that tells me all I need to know. If certain fans arent going to support him then go cheer for someone else. V, B

Well let's see.
Muschamp has his sec team 3rd in the bcs year 2.
Richt has a been a proven winner even though I think he under achieves.
Spurrier has won a NC.
Bielema has 3 straight rose bowl appearances.
Miles Nc
Saban multiple Nc
7th best is not bad sir considering the company this conference currently has as coaches.

Wrong..When he lands a top ten class that will shut some DA up but he will have us in games we shouldnt be in yet and will beat someone were not supposed to beat.
