if we had beat the number 1 and 2 team between 85 and 96 we should have storm the court and then stormed downtown knoxville espesially the real bad year when we were losing 20 games but now no way ,that is in case ncaa titals are won but those who storm court are just telling everyone that nobody expected to win no way no how but i believe that we are a perennail top 20 program and a 20 to 30 game winner for the next 10 years or more and we will win ncaa tourny a few times in the next 4 to 12 years.

We have flame rules, I am sure that as the master of logic you can figure out what my point is.

So you have no point. Figures.

You of the hat nation parade that Bruce is overpaid because we never win in the tounament. Now you complain that we're above rushing the court after the biggest win of the year because we're too good. Got it.

when you win, act like you have been there.
this team has won.
no reason to storm court.
we just need to make more of a habit of beating good teams.

The wedge between fans and players is not going to change because a bunch of morons can't get to the floor.

It removes fans further from the game.

You ever wonder how that piece of goal post got in OCI? Big win, rushed field, carried it down the strip.

College kids now have no idea how that feels.

And I still remember that night every time I enter Neyland.

Saying that fans are stopping going to games because they can't storm the court - especially as the main reason - is as ridiculous as saying that students aren't going to go to football games anymore because the burgers taste bad

And again, he proves it.

Tell me, Professor, when have I ever claimed they aren't good? That's what you are implying.

Nope. But removing the fans' (especially students) ability to celebrate a win with the team after a huge win is just another reason that our fans are not as engaged as they used to be.

Well, at least part of your brain is still functioning.

So you've never ridden the hat nation train of UT underachieving under Bruce? If not, my apologies. I thought the hat nation was united in that belief.

I can't even count the number of times after a big win when I've thought, if only I could storm the court/field would I find fulfillment....I then proceeded to sob hysterically into my UT overalls, held my head low, and headed for an exit.

Being able to go to coaches' offices and ask them about things would bring fans closer too. The only problem with this is that it is impracticable...kind of like letting 20,000 or 100,000+ storm a court/field.

I agree. After the SEC began fining schools for storming the court/field, attendance began plummeting and suicide rates skyrocketed.

You can't be that shallow can you? Really?

I promise you that noone (maybe other than you thinks)

I don't want to go to a sports event b/c we don't storm the court

They go to these things for entertainment from the game and the game itself. Its when the game either starts to cost too much or stops being entertaining (team being bad and/or losing to most teams) that people stop going; and that's the reality of it
