Streets are talking again

I've seen more improvement from Hopson than I have Tatum. In fact, one could argue that they're going opposite ways at this point.

very much so. When Tatum first got here through the first 5 games of last season I thought he was a future NBA player... but the man can't guard anyone and is ridiculously inconsistent in the scoring dep't.

Tatum is terrible. He just doesn't move well enough to be dominant.

Hopson could end up being one of TN's elite players , if if doesn't have a super year next year and go pro . JMO

Back to the shop now to watch the TIGERS. This game has the potential to be a trap for the TIGERS.

Sorry about the loss guys , hopefully they can get a road win @ Fl. or SC .:crossfingers:

In the same manner I heard the talk about Duke Crews, I heard about 2-3 weeks ago some whispers on the street about one of our current basketball players. I didn't want to run with it then because it was just street talk.

Well, just heard on the Saturday sports show in Knoxville (1180 AM) that there is now some talk about the basketball team maybe having a scholarship available and a player being asked to leave.

They guy involved in the talk I heard about a few weeks ago was Tatum, but I'm not certain if the player mentioned this morning is Tatum or not.

Anybody heard anything?

I read on VQ Tabb was in trouble over something.

Tatum shows more of a knack for getting open than Hopson or anyone else we have. Hopson is afraid to step over the 3 point line and drive to the basket.

So that makes him have tons of potential? He moves terribly. He has no quickness. He will be a marginal player at best.

Part of Tatum's "knack" for getting open is due to the opposing team watching film of him shoot 3's. Hopson has had much more success driving to the basket than Tatum as well.

which is why Hopson is better/has more potential than Tatum. We at least see some signs of brilliance from Hopson. Ever since the G'town game, Tatum has been nonexistent. You could call their shooting a draw (which I don't believe anyway), but Hopson is a much more dynamic player.

Tatum also also next to no lift when shooting either. His heels barely come up. He will get his shots blocked twice as much.

And LOL at him saying Tatum has a better knack for getting open.

Lol - not a very big bust then. Duke Crews was rated highly out of high school but was never projected to make it past college to professional ball. He's an undersized 5 who can't shoot and wasn't too athletic.
