"When presented with national media opportunities to enhance the Cardinals profile, he routinely rejected them. Getting him to make promotional appearances that could enhance donor relations was an exercise in frustration. He left a lot of administrators and support personnel at Louisville exasperated at his unwillingness to do anything to sell the program outside the cocoon of the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex."
Wow, that is not good. He would have been crucified here
Its not going to go well at Texas either. Boosters like to see and hear what they're paying for and not being able to show off their "importance" will be like a slap in their uppity faces. Not a good fit..imoThat would be suicide at Tennessee. I'm actually happy that we didn't get him after reading that.
He will bolt for Florida if that opens up
Dunno about that. Depends on his buyout from Texas (if he has one) and how well he does his first year. And considering they are two top tier programs? That's like trading in your Aston-Martin for a Ferrari. Well, in Florida's case, a Ferrari with four flat tires, needs an oil change and a broken clutch. But some repairs can have it back running smoothly in no time.
Anyway, couldn't see him using Texas as a stepping stone for a "destination job" especially in the condition Florida sits right now.
I think Strong is a Journeyman. He won't land too long any where
That's just how he comes off to me. The way he seems to distance himself from the school outside the football program
