We're not talking about Florida, we're talking about Georgia. And we have every right to mock and ridicule them for being overrated after the way in which we have manhandled them.

Anyone getting cocky about playing Florida is dumb, because Florida has done to us what we've been doing to Georgia. We can still make fun of them, but we can't brag like we can when the subject is Georgia.

All football fans do this all the time when the season comes up: Kansas now thinks it can beat mizzou, mizzou & texas don't care that they lost to OU, Tech didn't lost to UGA, Michigan is again on the same level as OSU, Miami FSU & Bama can all think they're going to be unstoppable again, every game in michigan is no longer followed by "yeah, but you lost to appalachian state"

It's the magic of the clean slate the comes w/ a new season.

What was the combined scores of our games against Alabama and Florida. In fact, I'm tired of this. Here's the bet: Tennessee beats Georgia, I'm off the main board until football season is over. If Georgia wins, same consequence for anyone who takes the bet. Who wants some?

Although he is a little over the top, I can see where he is coming from. I have been saying it all along. Georgia is so overrated and I still think they crack under pressure from all the hype this year. Tennessee is the team being overlooked, just like Will Overstreet and Tee Martin have stated in interviews. I have also made the prediction that we win for the 3rd year in a row beat Georgia in Athens this year. I really do believe that. The two games that concern me are Florida and Auburn. And believe it or not, I am more concerned with the Auburn game on the road than the Florda game. However those are both the ones I am worried about.

I never said anything about Tennessee beating UGA. I've actually picked UGA in another thread to beat us. I was just pointing out that UGA didn't play anyone. And what does the combined scores of our AU and UF games have to do with who UGA played?

I'm not sure I see your point. You keep playing up Georgia as if they're some monolith, yet at the same time tear down Tennessee, who has absolutely humiliated said monolith the past two years.

Georgia may well beat UT this year, just as we will probably beat Alabama. But I'm curious to know why you're so sure Georgia will manhandle us.

2 of those nobodies beat the eventual SEC East champion by 3 touchdowns or more... that isn't exactly proving that they didn't play anybody.

If you are using "probable" as the manner of describing the probability of Fulmer beating Saban, you haven't been paying attention. Tossup at best.

Before you go through with this (or maybe it's too late)... just remember that Fulmer seems to pull out miracles when his back is against the wall. If we lose to Auburn and Florida before we go to Athens, that would just set up too well for Fulmer to win that game and finish out the season on a high note with 10 wins...

One thing is for certain: Georgia fans are tired of losing to Tennessee teams that they "should" have beat. '04 was painful. '06 was a gut-punch, after their big lead. '07 was embarassing. Knock the head-man at UT as we wish, but he has the lead right now in the Richt bout.

I think they understood '06 because of the QB problems, but you're definitely right about the other 2. UGA fans still wince when you bring up 2004. They really thought they were going to have a magical year that year.

I will say I can remember a few years ago people saying Fulmer can't beat Richt. However, it does seem like there's always one coach Fulmer can't seem to beat.
