Stupid Georgia...(merged)

I will say I can remember a few years ago people saying Fulmer can't beat Richt. However, it does seem like there's always one coach Fulmer can't seem to beat.

He's beaten everyone in the SEC except for Meyer (and Petrino, but he doesn't count yet). Hopefully he can change that this year.

That was my point. As of right now it's Meyer. It seems like when he clears one hurdle another appears.
If I would have told you in December of 2001 before the SECCG that not only would we lose to LSU after we knock out Rohan Davey and that Spurrier would be leaving Florida for the Redskins a few weeks later and then told you that we would not win an SEC title the rest of the decade, you would have laughed me out of the room.

Fulmer has proven up to now that he never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. The 2001 SECCG was a big missed opportunity. The loss to LSU essentiall kick started their run, and we failed to take advantage of the void left by Florida in the east when Zook was there.

At some point, you can't call it replace one hurdle with another. You just have to come to the conclusion Fulmer is just average. Not bad enough to run off with 9-10 wins, but not good enough to win anything of significance if given equal talent.

You won't find a post where I call Fulmer an outstanding coach. Unlike some, I think he was a step up after Majors, but the proof is on the scoreboard. I think it's time to stop settling for SEC East banners and get some more trophies, and I don't think the raise was warranted at all.

This season is strange, there's cause for equal amounts of optimism and concern. The end of September should be an interesting time for Vol fans.

How about you guys keep this cheeseball bet in PMs and spare the rest of us?
Why? I just am making an attempt to clean this place up. I'm sick of apologists and mental midgets. Here is their shot at me. They all want to act like they can play in my league, here's their chance.
