Summing it all up...

* Just too much talent disparity at too many positions. McBee guarding Miller or Gilchrist on and off, as an example.

* Defensive intensity from UK was just stifling. Stokes and Maymon are the real deal and a great tandem, Davis is just ridiculously good down low. At one point UT was 14-50 from the field. (Yes, there were missed calls, but not enough to change the tide or momentum this game had.)

* Golden did not play horrible, but the flaw did show that UT does not have a true PG to get them into the offense, it just looked stagnant for much of the night (which is defense as well)

* Woolridge, wow. Didn't see that one come, obviously scouting report did not either.

Keep ya heads up, you got the right captain steering the ship.
KY SHOT 14 FTS IN THE FIRST HALF. WE SHOT 0. yOURE BETTER THAN US BUT SO ARE YOURE REFS.

he hasnt argued this point, why are you guys continuing to get mad about the refs. hell even with the refs in our pocket we would have lost the game, we played horrible admit it and move on. the refs werent good but they werent the reason that we lost.

Blue blood programs that reside in the top 5 get calls at home, I have no defense for that. But I don't think anyone can argue who was the more aggressive team on both ends of the floor.

Maybe because if UT's players played aggressive they would get a foul called on them, UK can jump on our back and the refs don't care. They don't lose at home for this reason.

absolutely. We should teach our players how to shove others in the back and then run and hide to get them t'd up. Or how to flop in such a way that would make a French soccer player blush

your absolutely right. theres a reason we were firing up fadeaways and getting stuffed at the rim. we werent aggressive on both ends, but even with that said we just dont have the talent to compete with KY when they play to their potential.

easy to be aggressive when you never get called for a foul.
3 vols with 4 fouls. last game was a little too close for coach cal. he made sure that wouldn't happen again.

Summing it all up?
Coach Martin got a good long look at the kind of talent he needs to recruit if he wants this team to be the last man standing.

Calipari has the refs eating out of his hands. If one of our players starts playing well he asks the refs to call a foul on him(Maymon)

I really don't care about tonight's game.. I just know we're going to beat the ever-lovin bloody snot out of the mildcats in Neyland Stadium come November.

Nothing I said in my OP is inaccurate or false, nor flaming. If everyone wants to focus on fouls instead of the fact that UT shot 28% from the field, and allowed UK to shoot 50%, then I'll give the floor to everyone and let the thread get all irrational. Just trying to discuss a basketball game.

Im positive you're a UK fan now

no its called being realistic. i hate UK but i am also realistic and can tell you good basketball from bad basketball. the refs arent the reason that we lost this game, not in the least bit. UK was in our grill the entire game, and we continued to fold and make bad decision after bad decision.

take off the orange shades and look at this from an unbiased standpoint.

you know as well as anyone on this board that i am a die hard UT fan, and i agree with you. UT played dumb basketball and just was completely outplayed in every facet of the game tonight.
