People on here are not *****ing because we lost. Where the hell is your sense of fair play. When you have a team like KY get a huge advantage in the officiating and completely take a less talented team out of the game some people consider that an unfair advantage. Do you really want too tell me that this game was called fairly for both sides. Do you really believe it doesn't matter because odds are the less talented team would have lost any way. If so there is something wrong with your sense of fairness.

willie everything i am saying is true here, the game was reffed horribly, but at the end of the day it really wouldnt have mattered. can you honestly say that if its called fairly we win? not if your being realistic you cant.

do you forget the game at home here? we lost, and that game was called very fairly IMO. you forget we suck on the road so we lose at home with it being called even what makes you think we'd win at rupp when we havent won on the road all year? BE REALISTIC

I'm saying that calls were missed. I'm conceding that yes, it changed momentum. But... I will not concede that it was a definitive reason for UT losing this game. UT had 8 more fouls called than UK. If that number were even, UT still gets run by 10-15 points IMO. There was still a ballgame played outside of the "blown calls", and UK dominated every aspect of it, other than Woolridge having the game of his life.

And Cal parlayed Davis getting beat to death at LSU into a subliminal message to the officials during this game. It is what it is, TIFWIW.

Your right if the game had been called completely fairly than TN would have lost. But the point that most of the people have been making is not that we lost the game, but that the officiating was completely one sided. Most of the fouls against KY came late in the game when the game was over. The officials made sure in the first half that TN could not compete by calling the game completely against TN and getting our best players in foul trouble. At the same time they ignored foul after foul that KY committed. Even you a KY fan admitted the game was not played on a level playing field. The announcers of the game could not say that the officiating sucked but they did comment that the more aggressive team "always gets the calls" so they also acknowledged that the game was being called for KY. Its too bad that in college sports you have officials who are crooked covering their bets or are intimidated by coaches and home fans and that college teams can't get a fairly called games in some arenas. Had the game been called fairly TN might still have lost, but they damn sure would have had a better chance to compete.

UT had more fouls, they played more aggressive on defense. Whats so difficult to figure out? The way to beat UK is to play ultra aggressive and push them around. If I was an opposing coach I'd tell my team that every starter should have 4 fouls by end of regulation when they play UK. Its the only chance they have to keep it close. This whole "the refs save UK" BS is probably the most poor loser/ridiculous excuse I've ever heard.

This comment is so unknowledgable that it boggles the mind. UK was far and away the most agressive team on both ends of the court. This was acknowledged by the announcers of the game "the agressive team gets the calls" and Ky fan on this board.

Who complained? I dont recall anyone saying a word about refs. But complaining about the refs is normal for the visiting team, but this much is getting ridiculous. By reading some of these comments you'd think the game was a barn burner and UT almost won. You guys forget that if it wasnt for Woolridge shooting like Larry Bird it would have been a slaughter. You should spend more time thanking him than whining about losing to a better team.

UK has superior talent, defense and shooting ability. UT is unranked, has a new coach and playing an away game. And people still whine about the refs?

None of that excuses the refs for calling a game to favor on team over another.

I'm not sure how old you are, but if you think Duke, Kansas, Florida, UNC and every other college program in America doesnt get the majority of close calls at home you have a lot of growing up and learning to do.

it took me 2 damn minutes to find what cal said about him and nothing he said included him being a great shooter and that he'd be better than teague.the only reason you wont take the time to look it up, yet will banter about refs on here is because you know that you are wrong, just like you are 99% of the time. all he said was he was a quick guard with good offensive awareness, the rest is crap you are making up. why is it so hard for me to believe harrow is a better shooter than teague? this is why. and this is why teague is clearly the better player.

i dont know with the offense we will have on the field 52 is pretty plausible, especially the revenge factor that will be put into play. i dont see dooley calling off the dogs in that game :mf_surrender:

This is simple. The officials ruined the game from the very beginning and made it basically unwatchable. Woolridge's hot shooting is the only thing that made it somewhat entertaining for a while. No one expected UT to win, but I was hoping to watch a tough physical basketball game on both ends of the floor. Instead there was anything goes on one end and touch fouls on the other.
