I read comics when I was younger, but I wasn't a DC guy. So I'm not at all familiar with the source material for the film and, had I been, maybe I would have enjoyed it more. But then, I'm not really familiar with any of the source material for the Dark Knight trilogy, and I loved all three films.
I saw it for the first time yesterday. I enjoyed Ben Affleck's Batman and Gadot's WW. I thought Lex Luthor was well done, manipulative and brilliant. I thought the fight scenes near the end were very good.
I felt like the things I liked were overshadowed by poor pacing and a lack of flow to the story. Disjointed is the best word I can think of. It felt like, to me anyway, that they tried to cram 2 separate movies (the SvB story + Justice League origins) into one overly long epic. I didn't read or follow DC Comics much as a kid (unlike Marvel which I read anything I could get my hands on) but that didn't lessen my love of the Dark Knight Trilogy, so I don't think it is bias at work... overall by the time the movie started getting good and captured my attention I felt sorta like I had wasted the previous hour.
Overall good not great but with excellent individual performances, especially by Affleck. JMO
