Supreme Court upholds ObamaCare.

And they wanted to believe it because?
1) George Bush was mad because Hussein attempted to
assisinate his father.
2) He wanted to take over Iraq's oil fields.
3) As Pete Stark said " He wanted our troops killed for
his enjoyment".
4) He was suffering from LowT and his doctor said
invading Iraq would get him
hard.

Off the deep end?

The country needed a scape goat and instant retribution.

Not really that hard.

Only 3 guys on that list are still in office. Like it or not, The Tea Party has changed things

Bennett and Lugar lost in their primaries to conservatives. Specter changed parties when faced with a conservative challenger and a sure loss.

ObamaCare – Killing Health Savings Accounts [Reader Post] | Flopping Aces

13,000 pages of regulations already and still writing.

The affordable healthcare act gives the department of health and human services dictatorial powers just as the endangered species, clean air and clean water acts have given the EPA powers that are patently unconstitutional.

Perry: Texas won't expand Medicaid - Washington Times

Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Monday his state won't expand Medicaid or set up an insurance exchange, joining a growing number of Republican governors who are rejecting two key parts of President Obama's health care law.

He joins more than half-dozen GOP governors who have already said they won't increase the size of their Medicaid programs to cover Americans up to 133 percent of the poverty level, after the Supreme Court upheld most of the law last month but said states could opt out of the Medicaid expansion.

:clapping:good for him

But if they don't set up exchanges, the law allows the federal government to step in and run them.

that's funny since the feds forgot to fund them in the bill

American Patriot Proves Obama Tax Pays for ?Free? Illegal Alien Health Care

Barack Hussein Obama repeatedly stated that his health care law does not pay for illegal alien medical expenses.-----------------------------

Marcelo Rivera, representing the group Latinos Para La Revolución (“Latinos for the Revolution”), told the Chicago Civil Rights Examiner, “The individual mandate was the most important part of the law… We are still working with officials to make sure that undocumented Latinos will receive only the best health care possible. We don’t want them attending those free clinics with doctors that have no experience.” Apparently, the free clinics with young doctors who know all of the current medical procedures are to be reserved especially for Americans who have been put out of work by under-priced illegal laborers.
------------------------

“This is just outrageous,” said Charles Benninghoff, Publisher of American Patriot. “They openly admit that illegal aliens are already receiving health care at taxpayer expense, and now they’re complaining that they want even better care. It is clear that, to the socialist revolutionaries promoting the swamping of our labor markets, that young American doctors simply are not good enough for the illegal trade.”

The Department of Health and Human Services began giving Obamacare funds to health systems that service illegal aliens in 2011. CNS News asked HHS at the time whether illegals were receiving “free” health care at taxpayer expense. HHS replied that it is not the duty of clinics to determine a patient’s immigration status.

“The IRS has hired 6,500 new agents to collect the taxes associated with Obamacare,” said Benninghoff. “At the end of the day, lawful citizens are going to see their wealth confiscated in order to continue paying for the health care of illegal aliens. While our young college graduates are in the unemployment line and marching in Occupy This-or-That seeking social justice, our government is acting as a magnet for foreign illegals to come and under-price Americans by subsidizing their health care.”

Some but not all the reasons the left have postulated for Bush's decision to attack. The most obvious, he believed as well as others that Saddam had WMD, will never be accepted by the left.

I would have generally agreed to this in principal before the internal feud within the intelligence community and the White House came to light. Since then, it is a much harder point to argue.

if that's a big deal shouldn't Obama be held to the same standard?

“Health care should never be purchased with tax increases on middle class families.” -BO

Stephen Moore, Senior Economics Writer with the Wall Street Journal, told FOX and Friends this morning that nearly 75% of Obamacare costs will fall on the backs of those Americans making less than $120,000 a year.

I know this was 8 pages back, but you do realize that more than 95% of Americans make less than $120,000.

So, for more than 95% of America to shoulder 75% of the costs, is actually a good thing. Classic example of using statistics to manipulate a message.

wasn't the point. Obama is making/has made claims that go completely against this law.

1) Health care should never be purchased with tax increases on middle class families
2) Won't raise taxes on anyone making under $250k

I would consider many making under $120k to be middle class. Wouldn't you?

Yes, but your quote was really misleading. I do not like how Obamacare affects me, I was simply pointing it out.

It will do my parents a lot of good, and perhaps me as well, if I were to lose my job. Right now, though, it's killing me.

Can't get PPO through work anymore. Now we're all on those bullshark high deductible plans. I may as well not even have insurance, because I'm never going to meet my $1250 deductible unless I get a catastrophic illness. I know, that's what it's there for. It would be a much bigger issue, if my employer didn't pay my premiums.

Okay, tangent over.

not at all misleading if read in context of the discussion at the time. It was about holding people accountable for their statements and Obama's is clearly a lie

so they don't have any insurance now?

why is a high deductible plan bad? You pay for the cost of your own healthcare until it gets too much. Seems like that is exactly how it should work. Put money in an HSA and use it to save a little tax money and pay your bills up to the point the insurance kicks in.

COBRA. Mother had to take leave from work to care for my aunt the past year when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Of course she got laid off, because no employer is going to give you leave for that long. Father is self-employed, and was on her insurance.

They both have pre-existing conditions, mother has had cancer and father has epilepsy.

I've talked to him about trying to join an employment partner group. Can't recall what they're called. He's going to look into it.

Not bad for certain people. For people like myself that are already on really expensive medication, I liked the PPO. Luckily, I talked to my doctor, and he's taken me off the medication. Last year, I hit my out of pocket max on the medication alone by February.

The bad part is that the premiums for high-deductible plans are about as high as the premiums for PPOs were 2 years ago, thus forcing the high-deductible plans on us.

I guess I just don't understand the thinking that it should be dirt cheap. My health is only behind that of my wife and son on my priority list. I am my #1 asset and will gladly forgo some things to make sure that's covered. When it is likely to cost a company more to take care of someone they should pay more. Heck I paid into our top plan here at work for over 7yrs without using it at all. I understood the tradeoff

I'm not unsympathetic to the situation, and agree with some of the changes enacted, but HC is never going to be a cheap proposition with the way most Americans take care of themselves. I would like to see it go on a more open market and give companies a chance to compete for business and see what that would do to the pricing

Well, maybe I'm just bitter because I take pretty good care of myself and still get shafted, while I see people eat their way to 300+ lbs that are healthy as can be.

I meant shafted as in have had more health problems in the past 5 years than my 95 year old grandpa. Not shafted financially.
