People did, but you have take in account that some dislike the fact that he puts time into his music vs. what they think he should be doing for his game and the team.[/QUOTE

I'm aware. RW just isn't a good basketball player on this level. His writing of a silly or decent rap has nothing to do with his lack of skill on the court.
Its really just something else for people on here to b*tch about. As if there werent already enough former and current coaches and players for people to whine about.

It's pretty sad if he wants to "QUIT" because his "ONLINE" fans don't "TWEET" back. Am I missing something? Fans come and go. And if he really wants to be serious, he needs to collaborate with more artists than just some buddies. The internet is an open yellow page. Contact them.

I am a big fan of his. His music makes me proud to be a Vol fan.

I really don't understand "grown" men being so hell bent on trying to knock somebody down~especially when the person isn't deserving of it and is only doing something he loves. It really speaks to the kind of men they are.

Grown men don't. Opining is one thing. Bashing and namecalling is different and there is plenty of that.

I couldn't care less if he wants to rap. What I think is a joke is how he claims to be the "best new rapper" out there and explains how he is so "underappreciated." I find his arrogance amusing.

As far as rappers go, SB is a very talented kid and I like a lot of his material. I'm just so tired of the whole hip hop culture and wish it would fade away like all other fads and genre do. Nothing to do with race.

When did he ever start rapping?

Edit: I read the thread title too fast. I thought it said Soldierboy...

Carry on.

30 years and counting is a bit long for a "fad".

This^^^ everyone here talks about wanting kids that are VFL and this kid is exactly that! A kid from L.A. that comes to Tennessee and loves and reps this University like he was born and bred in Knoxville. He may not be the BB player everyone hoped he would but dont trash the kid because you hate hip hop music!!

How long was "rock" on the scene though, and suddenly got shoved off the TV and radio for the most part. Yeh there are still stations devoted to rock just like there's stations dedicated to gospel....but the mainstream has little place for anything but R&B , hiphop and blends of techno.

He's on a basketball scholarship, not a rap scholarship. If he spent as much time trying to improve his basketball skills as much as he spends rapping, he'd be an all-american.

So every D1 basketball player has the ability to be an AA if they practice enough? Or just Reinaldo? Either answer is 100% wrong.

Trends change...everything has it's time.

Rock had a longer mainstream shelf life than the music it was born from.

everyone needs a hobby, and you can't practice all the time. and how do you know how much time he spent at each?

What a loss for the music world. This is almost like when tupac was murdered.

Hopefully competing rappers will throw in some "SB" tributes in upcoming music. MTV and BET will be jumping on this story soon.

Sting and diddy are probably already in the studio working on the tribute single.
