Hip hop/rap nowadays is all brand/promotion, you don't have to be skilled. Keep working at it and you can hit it big with just one mediocre song that's based off a cheap gimmick. He's right in that there are very few talented artists out there in hip hop, but whining about it and saying you are going to quit because of it is pretty weak especially when you're dime a dozen yourself. He had/has as good a shot "making it" as anyone though. I doubt he really quits but regardless, weak.

This is true, but his stuff is still nowhere near the level of the "terrible" hip-hop that's popular nowadays. There are plenty of unsigned and truly under-appreciated artists who blow SB's stuff out of the water. Again, not hating, but he will need to make some fairly drastic changes to get some substantial recognition.

I'm not a fan of much rap, but he shouldn't let underappreciation deter him if rapping is his true dream. That is a weird explanation.

It's sad when people like to trash college athletes instead giving support. Our fan base is by far the worst for this. As a UT student I'm ashamed that we have fans like this. Swiperboy is a good guy. I've had several classes with him. He loves UT and has a good head on his shoulders. He's never been in trouble and he always comes to class. Some of our psycho fans need to lay off.

Wrong, he's got a lot of good stuff besides his couple of vol songs.
