Tajh Boyd

I think heastie is a stretch, he's enrolling in January. the only chance we have is if Boyd commits soon.

i think the biggest thing with keeping recruits is how we handle the coaching situation. We can't let it drag on forever like the OC position last season.

Interesting. It would be huge if he committed to us this weekend. The only thing that would be better is a win over them stupid bammers.

Welcome to the board.

The 6-foot, 208-pound dual-threat quarterback has been planning to try to get to Knoxville for several weeks. In fact, he had hoped to visit for the Florida game.

"I wanted to come in for the Florida game," Boyd said. "But, Tennessee had a commitment from Josh Nunes and they told me that they were taking two quarterbacks in the class and they were done with quarterbacks. I really respected them for how they handled it. It let me know that they won't do you dirty. They wouldn't recruit someone behind your back. They told me if something happened with one of their quarterbacks they would call me. When I saw that Nunes had decommitted, I was hoping my phone would ring and it did quickly after he changed his mind."

Boyd would be a great pick up, but for a dual threat guy it lists his 40 as 4.7.

Is that accurate?

Watch his vids. Regardless of his speed, kid can straight up play. He's a great passer with the ability to run.

Scout has him listed in the upper 4.5 range BTW.

exactly...and he is Rivals 3rd most accurate passer...

I will take a 4.7 guy that is accurate over a 4.5 guy that completes 45% of his passes.

It is true, but Elway and Joe Montana ran rub 5 sec and they were considered mobile, or duel threat. This kid looks really elusive, and unlike some mobile qb's like Vick, Young, and even Brent Schaffer he actually thinks of passing the ball before running it.

That's awesome we could get the next Elway or Montana! :)

Haha I WISH!! I was just stating that slow 40 times does not always mean you cannot scramble. I will take someone that runs a 7 sec 40 after seeing the amazing scrambling abilities of Eric Ainge and Casey Clausen.
