Tajh Boyd

Perhaps one of the biggest stories of the week came late when Hampton (Va.) Phoebus High School quarterback Tajh Boyd took back his verbal commitment from West Virginia on Sunday evening. The four-star signal caller apparently wasn’t very thrilled with how the offense has been looking in Morgantown and felt it was best to look around. There are no signs to where he will be looking to instead at this point

yeah, I am sure he will be a whole hell of a lot more comfortable with the way our offense has looked

im starting to feel compelled to check this thread every day just like i did the T. Pryor thread. is disappointment on the horizon?

a commitment from this guy would be amazing. We already have stoke, giles, oku... think if we got this guy and marlon brown also? then all we would need is a new coach :p

It is reported over and over again that the outcome of the game when the recruits visit is not important in where they decide to go.

I actually slightly agree. the first time he commited (to WVU) it was completely out of the blue. obviously this kid has no problem commiting early and its a great sign we're getting the first visit.

HAMPTON, Va. - With his travel schedule already starting to fill up since announcing last Sunday he was backing off his commitment to West Virginia, Phoebus High School's Tajh Boyd knows what he's looking for, but he doesn't know where to find it yet.

Boyd, a 6-foot, 210-pound prospect who is considered by many recruiting analysts to be one of the nation's 10 best quarterbacks, said he'll visit Tennessee this weekend for the Alabama game. After that, he'll take closer looks at Boston College, Penn State and possibly Oregon. He also plans to investigate Florida State a little more, considering Phoebus coach Bill Dee told him the Seminoles recently had inquired.

"I think the coaches (at West Virginia) are great people. I just didn't like the way the program was headed as far as the offense goes. I've only got four years, so I want to make the right decision" Tajh Boyd
