Also lost to Penn State and Nebraska twice in bowl games, back when players played in them. Just not a fan of his at all. Their is a reason nobody ever came after him to coach their program.

Even during the 90’s and early 2000’s, he made it crystal clear coaching at his Alma Mater was his dream job. Fulmer would have never left for another job even if they all came calling.

If you're not playing to be champion then second place is for first loser.

From 1990 till 2007, Tennessee only had 3 seasons they didn't win at least 9 games. They won 8 those 3.

Since 2007, Tennessee has only won 8 or more games 4 times.

Do you believe JH can ever do better than 10-2?

I don’t

So if that’s the case then the poll is essentially asking should we roll the dice and make a change
We were 3-7 only three years ago. I'll take 10-2 all day long. Heupel has won a lot of games here. Yes today was very disappointing but Heupel is a really good coach. We need continuity instead of rolling the dice on the next Billy Napier.

I think the offense will have years when it clicks and is almost unstoppable like last year. Honestly, I just don't think we have that much talent on defense. We don't seem fast or physical. All defenses should be at least one of those. If that changes then a dream season is possible.

It wasn’t unstopped for 2 games last year. It’s a built in 2 loss System because it’s hilt on rhythm and balance. Take one side away and stop it

This staff took over a complete dumpster fire in January 2021. A major 2year NCAA investigation was pending and self imposed scholarship reductions were imposed. He played AND RECRUITED with 10 less scholarships his first two years. If things go 1-1 the rest of the way, the program will be 25-11 at the end of the regular season.

You’re a complete idiot if you wouldn’t have taken that on the day he was hired.

It was said about Spurrier after the Nebraska debacle that he was an offensive genius who would never win serious hardware. Then he went out and identified the best realistic DC he could upgrade to and won a NC the next year. Heupels story isn’t written unless he is too stubborn and willing to accept mediocrity to stay in his comfort zone.

Nattys in 92,96,98,03,06,07.

6 is 17 was wonderful for any conference back then.

Now tell us how deep the league was those years??

remember we had to beat a very very average Miss state and Auburn teams to win our two SEC titles….

The league was very thin in those years
