In scenes of utter desperation at Kabul airport today, people began passing babies to guards at the northern entrance hoping they will be put on flights out of the country and escape Taliban rule

Women were filmed pleading with US troops that the 'Taliban are coming' in footage that appeared to have been taken at Kabul airport this morning as thousands of desperate Afghans try to flee Islamist rule

A short time ago, the Taliban released a video of them shooting a woman in the city who wasn't wearing a burqa (spelling?). These people are sick, but if anything, we should have learned a very important lesson...despite what our leaders tell us, we are not all the same. Human beings are comprised of diverse cultures, customs, and tribes. It was foolish for us to assume that, through military conquest or goodwill, we could somehow superimpose western values on people who did not want to be like us.
I think the main problem was, and probably still is.. "What is our goal in Afghanistan?", which I don't think we ever really had a long-term plan. What's more appalling to me is the behavior of the surrounding countries with the same culture, who are entirely unwilling to help them, except for maybe Qatar.

Cubans for the most part are productive citizens. They are/have escaped what the liberals are trying to make the US into. Republicans/conservatives aren't against immigration. They're not against Hispanic immigration. They're against illegal immigration. They're against immigrants that come here for the free stuff.

Let's not paint people with a broad brush. There are plenty of Republicans who want to crack down on legal immigration and they cheered Trump on as he did so.

US officials warn Biden's Aug. 31 deadline to withdraw troops from Afghanistan will be 'challenging'

U.S. officials are privately warning that it will be "challenging" to meet President Biden's Aug. 31 deadline to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, as thousands continue pouring into the country to protect the airport and assist in the mission to evacuate thousands of American citizens and Afghan allies, Fox News has learned.

You don't see the western Pacific as a domino problem? Not like the last time that was theorized; but if you allow a bully to take over one country, you say it's OK to take the next and the next. The modern version of appeasement. A little bite here and a nibble there, but I suppose if we "strongly object" to their behavior in letters of disapproval meeting all the fine rules of diplomacy, of course ... What about island hopping? That's been done too - the first 83 are insignificant but now against an emboldened enemy with practice at a place closer to our home ...
Yeah, and what exactly happened after the Vietnam domino fell?

What obligation do these countries in the immediate line of fire have upon themselves to unify and defend themselves? Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and India should be able to neutralize China without us being involved. We can't afford to protect these other countries half a world a way from Chinese commies when we have a Chinese commie problem right here at home.

"The Trump administration has deported fewer overall people than were deported under former President Obama despite the ongoing crackdown on immigrants without legal status, according to the Washington Post. While the Obama administration deported 1.18 million people in his first three years, the number of deportations has been a little under 800,000 so far under Trump, according to the Post."

"Drumpf Racis" Lol

05 hits the nail on the head. The US Military has the ability (when properly allowed) to decimate any other military force on this entire planet. Even OIF was a textbook case of the ability of our military to kill people and break their toys.

We have a serious problem with trying the liberal idea of nation building in places that aren't ready for or really don't want Western style democracy. "Oh, we broke your crap and you're incapable of fixing it yourself?!?! We HAVE to rebuild it for you and do it the way WE want!"

Eff that. Germans and Japanese rebuilt their countries after WWII with us watching over their shoulder. Yeah, we gave loans and guaranteed lines of credit, but the people in those nations rebuilt them brick by brick.
They are splitting hairs. The fact is that no matter what happens, the same type of people that ran the show and called the shots in DC during Korea and Vietnam are the same types that are calling the shots today. It is will always be a debacle and a waste of resources as long as that is the case.

What good are all of those battlefield wins right now?

Link on where Trump cracked down on legal immigration? Speaking of painting with a broad brush, I'm registered independent, lean very libertarian, vote mostly Republican. I'm 100% for legal immigration. The more the merrier. The Hispanics are some of the hardest working people I've known. Wouldn't hesitate to hire one.

Dude. You can't be serious.

Yeah, just more misinformation from the liberals.

"Trump wants a wall - he's a xenophobic racist. "
