Devastating House of Commons Speech on Biden's 'Shameful' Actions: 'This Is What Defeat Looks Like'

Tom-Tugendhat-House-of-Commons-speech-on-Afghanistan-730x0.png

A former soldier-turned-Conservative MP just lit up the House of Commons in an emotional speech about the failure in Afghanistan and the ‘shameful’ actions of Joe Biden.

But then Tugendhat took on Joe Biden. He said it was with “great sadness” that he had to criticize the U.S. actions. “To see their commander in chief (President Joe Biden) call into the question the courage of men I fought with, to claim that they ran is shameful,” Tugendhat emotionally declared. “Those who have not fought for the colors they fly should be careful about criticizing those who have.”

I can't believe this even has to be supported. Should be common knowledge.

I noticed you Included 2021 when we're getting 100,000 a month or more of illegal crossings, wonder if that might skew the numbers a bit. No need to do it legal when the border is wide open to walk across.

Listening to and reading the coverage I can't help but point out that if this happened under a Trump administration the major news networks, newspapers of record and representatives in government would be demanding he step down in unison.

This is simply failed leadership, with no accountability.

WTF. This is a funny response. I was expecting "Holy ****, you are totally right, Trump massacred the legal immigration process! Thank you for the information."

Business insider ? Seriously ? There’s an unbiased honest source for you. Good grief ... your hatred of Trump is only surpassed by your imbecilic usage of trustworthy news info.

This is pretty pathetic considering the data in the article came from Trump's DHS. Jesus, what a grasp for straws.

I would love to see your data that shows Trump didn't restrict legal immigration. Now go away because we both know that isn't happening.

I never once claimed to have such data nor claimed he didn’t (nor do I care if he did) I’m simply pointing out your childish hate rants for a man no longer in office using a so called news source like Buisness Insider which is nothing but partisan garbage and everybody sane knows that. Get your arguments straight or clam up.

"What's the square root of this apartment?"

I don't understand the question. He spoke for all Republicans, so that is definitely too broad. Maybe that answers your question?
Is it an African or European apartment?

It just seemed odd to need it included that some republicans did not agree with the majority of republicans.

"Military Contractors gettin PAID and in turn, payin politicians for even more war!"

Contracting the war really changed the equation. Before they could just make money on hardware and consumables - expensive hardware and consumables, but adding in a lot of expensive labor and overhead (and more hardware and consumables) really put war in the profitable category for a broader range of companies. And if there's one thing US companies know how to do, it's getting people to buy stuff they don't need.

Once we started "nation building" and used the military to enforce a social experiment on cave people, it was all down hill from then on.
Every conflict from WWII has involved nation building. We had success with Japan and, to a degree, South Korea, and have completely failed since.

No, that's true. We wouldn't have the ability for a sustained worldwide campaign like WWII unless we completely revamped our economy to a military setting. But make no mistake, we would have the ability to seriously bloody the nose of anyone who challenged us. Sustaining that kind of conflict is another matter entirely.

Like Butch Jones football. Start out well with a good plan, and lose on lack of depth and bad strategy when the initial surge has run it's course. If the enemy folds fast enough and you get in some good initial licks, it can work. As a nation we are too much built on the concept of instant gratification and instant results and don't have the mentality for a long term struggle and hardship.
