What F'n moron of a parent would allow their child to travel to Afghanistan on a summer trip. Oh wait, they said children from California, now it makes dense.BREAKING NEWS: Up to 1,500 Americans including 24 California school students are STILL stuck in Afghanistan: Blinken blames citizens for not leaving earlier as CIA and US helicopters start conducting missions to get everyone out
Up to 1,500 Americans are still trapped in Afghanistan and the U.S. is still relying on the Taliban to allow safe passage to Kabul airport with just six days before the August 31 deadline, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in a press conference on Wednesday.
Blinken gave an updated on the airlift operation and the bid to get all citizens and Afghan allies out amid reports the CIA has joined US troops in rescue missions outside the airport perimeter.
Among those left are 24 school children from California who visited on a summer trip and haven't been able to leave.
Blinken appeared to blame Americans still on the ground for not leaving fast enough after first being warned earlier this year to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible.

Makes you wonder, my guess is they are a combination of support infrastructure for our contractors and spooks, US citizens of Afghan heritage and assets of corporations with interests in the area. Its not a narrative or carrying water. Legit quesiton: who in their right mind would have stayed there leading up to this? Much less 10k such persons.
Not defending Biden, but why can't these other countries send in troops to take over for ours and secure the airport? Why does it have to be U.S. troops?'Biden Isn't Fit For The Role - He's Gone Gaga': Tory MPs Join US Republicans in Condemning President's Afghanistan 'betrayal' as UK Races to get last 2,000 People out in 24 hours - while America BLAMES its citizens for not leaving earlier
Mr Biden sparked fury yesterday by 'point blank' refusing G7 calls to push back the exit date for US forces, with Washington of the belief that an extension would leave troops at too great a risk of attack from the Taliban or Isis.
His decision has angered some Tory MPs who have questioned Mr Biden's 'intellectual fitness' to do the job, with one backbencher labelling the US President 'gaga'.

WTF sends their kid to Afghanistan for a field trip?
And we better damn well move mountains to get those kids out because it is unacceptable to hold them responsible for the consequences of lousy decisions made by their dipshit “guardians”.I still say that any American there at this juncture, and apparently stuck, was not there in an official capacity. At some point, personal responsibility has to be a part of the discussion.
24 kids from California. And they are STILL there after what has been happening for the last 8 weeks?
