I believe Trump and Reagan would have cleaned up this issue even if it took A-10s to negotiate with the tower and clean the riffraff off the runway. No hope with biden and carter, and all the others in between would screw it up ... just not as bad as biden and carter.

The main difference between Carter and Biden in that regard: Carter believed in turning the other cheek while Biden’s MO is to bend over and spread ‘em.

I'll give Carter all the credit in the world for at least attempting to rescue the hostages in Iran and truthfully, there were a lot of conditions out of his control. The .mil rant screwed the pooch at the upper levels by trying to give everyone a piece of the pie.

But he also accepted responsibility for the failure. Something missing from the current Admin.

The pregnant widow of one of the 13 US service members fallen in the August 26 attack in Kabul will receive a mortgage-free home from a charity.

The Tunnels to Towers foundation will gift the house to Jiennah McCollum, 20, wife of the late Marine Corps Lance Rylee McCollum.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham made an ominous prediction on Sunday when he said the US will be re-deploying troops into Afghanistan 'like we went back into Iraq and Syria' because the Taliban will turn the conflict-ridden country into a 'safe haven' for radical Islamists.

'They're going to give safe haven to Al Qaeda, who has ambitions to drive us out of the Mideast writ large and attack us because of our way of life,' Graham said on the BBC.

'We will be going back into Afghanistan like we went back into Iraq and Syria.'

Somebody needs a major geography lesson. It's a long long way to the US from Afghanistan - a big ocean on both sides. If ports and airports are managed correctly ... But then we don't seem much interested in who comes and goes as proven at the southern border. Our problem isn't desert training camps on the other side of the world; our problem is basic security at home. Besides if major pr*cks in places like NY didn't attempt to make the place sound like the top of the world rather than the azzhole, they might not be a target anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she was asking for it.

I also noticed that after the last midterms when he lost several of his anti-Trump buddies Lindsey got a little smarter - seems he's slipping back into the dumbs again.

KABUL—The Taliban unveiled a new government of Afghanistan that didn’t include any other prominent political forces, or women, cementing their hold on the country three weeks after seizing Kabul.

In one of the most controversial appointments, the interior ministry, responsible for police and security, went to Sirajuddin Haqqani, leader of the Haqqani network that is designated by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organization because of its links to al Qaeda.
