Hard to believe our "allies" the Taliban aren't living up to what they told us (or what we were told they told us)
Taliban Unveil New Afghan Government
KABUL—The Taliban unveiled a new government of Afghanistan that didn’t include any other prominent political forces, or women, cementing their hold on the country three weeks after seizing Kabul.
In one of the most controversial appointments, the interior ministry, responsible for police and security, went to Sirajuddin Haqqani, leader of the Haqqani network that is designated by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organization because of its links to al Qaeda.
And why should they? They've gotten all they asked for, and then some. Why be nice guys now?It seemed to me like the strategy early on from the White House was make ISIS-K the scapegoat for any bad actors as we exited Afghanistan and hope that the Taliban somewhat behaved. It would have made Biden’s choice to get in bed with the same people we were at war with somewhat easier to stomach.
Looks like the Taliban isn’t going to play ball.
Our war on drugs experiment has been an abject failure. Our incarceration rates are embarrassing. We need to pull our heads out of our ass. Shocking prohibition creates massive more problems. I mean it's like we never dealt with that before.

Conflict what conflict? We can't drop the hammer on these new "Afghanistan leaders" from above via drone or maybe a cruise missile? Like Trump did Iran's top General?Yes - that is the ticket. Another conflict will solve this.

I say let them go. But if they are caught or whatever, I don't want to hear how we abandoned them or left them behind. Personal responsibility absolutely has to be held to at some point.
The Americans need to get out and we need to ensure that happens.
As for after, I don't give one rats *** if they are murdering journalists, beheading pop singers, and throwing gays off rooftops. Cry me a f****** river. We gave 20 years to make it happen and they folded in less than a month. They wanted this and it shouldn't be our place to fix it. If change is what is really wanted they are going to have to stand up and fight for it. We simply can't do it for them and the bleeding heart Twitter warriors placing blame on the U.S. for Taliban rule with a iron fist can STFU.

Everytime someone pops up as the new leader of the taliban boom red mist and charred wreckage.

Why the constant blood lust for these people? Haven't we killed enough for you? It's been 20 freaking yrsConflict what conflict? We can't drop the hammer on these new "Afghanistan leaders" from above via drone or maybe a cruise missile? Like Trump did Iran's top General?

Will bombing them unseat them from power?

F’em. Unless there is a credible threat or actual attack on U.S. soil, let them kill each other and read the qu’ran and hate infidels until their hearts content.
It. Isn’t. Our. Place.
