They left us alone while we departed...

Didn't have to, but they did knowing full well how we'd respond. No reason to twist the tiger's tail on their part.

They won, we lost.

You think it is over?

And having a suicide bomber kill 13 was an ok parting gift?

I’m sorry, did Trump give those 5000 Taliban an Apache helicopter?

You leftist are really something else. You don’t get that we’re not pissed the Taliban took over. Yes it bothers us because it’s 20 years waisted but we’re pissed because he ARMED THEM! We’re pissed because he left Americans behind! Were pissed that his actions took the lives of 13 marines! We’re pissed because he opened the boarders! We’re pissed because he’s tearing this country apart!

The weapons that have fallen into Taliban hands were gifts from the US to the Afghan military. Biden didn't make that decision. That decision was made during the Bush II days.

Then why are we lying down and watching it be taken (as if we didn’t know it would be).

And had we actually had our people out in an orderly fashion, that might not have happened. And we see how the last strike turned out by killing those we may not have targeted.

Don't let pride be our guide in seeking a fight when we don't need to. Because as of late, it does not turn out well for us.

Equipment was left for the Afghan army to defend themselves, had it not been and they got rolled - you guys would have blamed Biden for not supporting them. Now that the Afghan Army rolled over, you blame him for leaving it behind.

Your outrage over a helicopter but not about 5,000 Taliban being released is hilarious.

Some of this absolutely could have been handled better, but the outrage over things like equipment is dumb.

It isnt pride to believe the truth, and the truth is leaving them alone wont work out.

I just want to see the "plan" for how 2,500 troops were going to remove billions of dollars of equipment in three months to meet the May deadline Trump had agreed to.

So, we need to continue endless war and waste even more money?

It's over. Time to let it go...

Your comment was about dropping a missile on a gathering of taliban. That does not constitute an endless war. It is killing cockroaches when they come out in the light.

Do you believe this is over? Surely you dont.

That’s where you’re wrong lefty. Equipment was left for the Taliban to take control of because everyone including your president knew it was entirely possible from the jump without our help. If it were not left for the Taliban, then please enlighten us as to why were not doing anything about it? And no, we wouldn’t be blaming him if he’d left nothing. We’d be saying “Damn! 20 years of training and they stop fight like girls?” “That sucks”.

Surely you don't believe the Taliban were responsible for 9-11...

Again, we've embarrassed ourselves enough in that part of the world as of late. There is absolutely no reason to continue fighting someone who is not a strategic threat to us.

You want to follow the government brainwashing? Go start a PMC and go over and declare war on them.

I don't think the taliban were responsible for 9/11 but I think they allowed for the terrorist to train and base there. I don't think we need to have boots on the ground bit if they start plotting against us and training from there then strategical drone or cruise missile strikes are warranted.

Fine, go after the terrorists.

But this "we should kill Taliban" rhetoric is ignorant.
