What over the previous 6 months could have been handle better?

I think people are looking at the last month and saying the whole withdrawal was a disaster. The more apt description would be we did everything orderly and methodically, then tripped and fell flat on our face crossing the finish line.

I'm asking a simple question. You said the whole thing was handled bad.

You will get zero argument from me as that pertains to the last few weeks. I'm wondering what you think was done bad leading up to the last few weeks. This withdrawal was not just the last few weeks. It simply wasn't.

Ok, I'm sure there was some things done right but that doesn't negate the overall failure of the withdrawal. What you're doing is the same as the guys that play up "we out gained the other team" after a blowout loss.

I don't see how anything I've said in this entire thread speaks otherwise. This thing is defined by how it ended. But I think there is some nuance being missed. Stating that is not downplaying the disaster.

Probably because much of it wasn't serviceable or would require considerably more resources to "confiscate." The additional cost of throwing good money after bad by bringing all of that crap back would be considerable.

Plus, if we hadn't left it behind I wouldn't get to mock nerds like you for glossing over the release of 5,000 taliban fighters while worrying about a Apache helicopter that they can't effectively fly or PM.

Biden is 100% to blame and it isn’t defensible how this was handled. Period.

Look, you either believe his nonsense or you don’t. Whether he realized it or not, the decision to finally withdraw after 20 years happened on his watch and he could have stopped if he wanted to. When he says he couldn’t, I don’t believe that anymore than I do when he says this was handled great.

What I’m not doing, is calling him an imbecile and senile that doesn’t know what he is talking about on one hand, then believing him at face value on the other just because it makes him look worse.
