The only thing the Taliban understands is force and that’s all they ever will. President Biden and the State Department can say all they want.
It’s falling on deaf ears.

Such a shame the US couldn’t level the Taliban and their barbarous ideology years ago.

There you go with your "whataboutism". So obsessed with Trump. Must be sad for you.
Living rent free all day every day in your head. You can't live without Trump in your veins.
Joe Biden is the worse president of all time. He's never right on foreign policy. And he's not right as of yet with his domestic policy. The Border stays wide open while he breaks our laws.
His policy in Afghanistan is identical to that of Donald Trump. Sorry, but it is.

Sorry, but facts are facts. Trump struck a peace deal with the Taliban last year.

You do realize that he had no moral authority to honor it or abide by it if he disagreed with it? If it was such a horrendous peace agreement, it takes about 15 seconds to say the US is no longer going to abide by it

You’re the biggest partisan sheep imaginable. You make King Kong look like a little rubber gorilla

I do realize that, and you are correct. I'm just amused by Republicans who are pretending that Trump would have handled this any differently. It is a lot like the fall of Saigon which was a very embarrassing scene for the United States. It's hard to get those images of helicopters being pushed off an air craft carrier into the sea out of your mind... and 46 years later, we've done it again - just without the choppers.

You’re not amused. You’re defending the dementia patient that looks like a complete idiot on the international stage for making such a monumental screw up.

That's not really true, the RVN had their supplies cut by the US government to nearly non-existent. Most heavy weapons and planes sat idle. The US pulled out of Vietnam in March, 1973, Saigon didn't fall until April, 1975. Now don't get me wrong the South Vietnamese didn't hold out but there is a huge difference between a little over 2 years and a handful of days.

State Department calls for Taliban to include women in its government

Spokesman Ned Price says US Might Recognize Government that 'upholds rights' and 'doesn't harbor terrorists'

Despite the Taliban's long history of oppression of women and iron-fisted rule, U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price Monday urged Afghanistan's new leaders to form an inclusive government that had women in it.

Price said that the U.S. government would recognize a potential new government of Afghanistan so long as that government "upholds rights, doesn't harbor terrorists, and protects the rights of women and girls." He did not say how the Taliban could convince the U.S. government that it has reformed itself in this way.

Live look in on the Talban commanders...

I honestly don't believe Biden or Harris can win in 2024. The horrendous border fiasco, crime, inflation, and the Afghanistan debacle will insure his defeat.
Biden won't last his first year. The dude belongs in an assisted living facility having his butt wiped twice a day.
