If you believe that Trump wouldn't have done the same thing then you are:

(1) Ignorant of the peace deal that the Trump administration brokered with the Taliban in February of 2020.

(2) Ignorant of how the United States pulled out of northern Syria in October of 2019, abandoning Kurdish allies and leaving behind American bases to be taken over by Turkish forces.

(3) In denial of Trump's foreign policy agenda. "We are not a police force." - Donald Trump

... but I'm still going to play a round of "what-about-ism" here, and point out that it is no different than how the Trump administration abandoned our Kurdish allies along the border of northern Syria in October of 2019, while ordering an abrupt withdrawal which gave aid to the Turkish aggressors, who were quick to commandeer the abandoned American bases.

Personally I don't care what happens there or any other crap hole in that part of the world. It's a damn shame that we wasted trillions of dollars and killed and mutilated thousands of soldiers for nothing.

The UN seems to be upset over it, so why don't they do something about it?

We should not be there. BUT, the way we withdrew is a total disgrace. We have left THOUSANDS of Americans at risk. We have abandoned people who we vowed to take care of (interpreters and people who aided our efforts who will be killed and tortured by the Taliban). No one in foreign countries will trust the U.S. again. The irreparable damage done was unnecessary. Poor judgement and hubris caused this debacle. Biden just proved his incompetence. Even now, the Chinese are pumping propaganda at Taiwan saying America will abandon them as well. What a cluster**k!

Today Biden told us that he has more experience with Afghanistan than anyone via his time in the Senate and as VP. He told us of all his visits and meetings with leaders there.

Somehow he never saw this coming.
