Joe Biden Abandons the Media in Afghanistan

President Joe Biden has abandoned the media in Afghanistan, as the Washington Post publisher reportedly requested help from the White House to evacuate more than 200 journalists in the collapsed country.

Publisher Fred Ryan told National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan the Post, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal’s reporters “are currently in danger and need the U.S. government to get them to safety,” a Hill columnist reported:

Islamist Pakistan PM: Taliban Has ‘Broken the Shackles of Slavery’

The Taliban terror group’s reconquering of Kabul on Sunday broke the “shackles” of a “cultural enslavement” Afghanistan endured since the U.S. invaded the country in 2001, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, a hardline Islamist, argued on Monday.

State Department calls for Taliban to include women in its government

Spokesman Ned Price says US Might Recognize Government that 'upholds rights' and 'doesn't harbor terrorists'

Despite the Taliban's long history of oppression of women and iron-fisted rule, U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price Monday urged Afghanistan's new leaders to form an inclusive government that had women in it.

Price said that the U.S. government would recognize a potential new government of Afghanistan so long as that government "upholds rights, doesn't harbor terrorists, and protects the rights of women and girls." He did not say how the Taliban could convince the U.S. government that it has reformed itself in this way.

I never thought of the Taliban having a sense of humor but I gotta believe they're laughing their azzes off over this.

Again, if we would have announced a date you guys would be on here saying how stupid that was.

There was no clean way to do this.

You guys? I’m simply posting an interview I listened to. I’m never in favor of posting a hard date wrt military operations. We should have gradually and quietly gotten our people out and those Afghanis that were at great risk if they wanted to go, with no open discussion about timelines at all, and left the Afghan govt in the best possible position in doing so.

America Last: Biden Will Not Prioritize Americans Over Afghans in Afghanistan Evacuation

President Joe Biden is not planning to prioritize thousands of American citizens stranded in evacuations from Afghanistan, as the country falls similar to that of the Fall of Saigon in 1975, over Afghan nationals applying for visas to the United States.

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby confirmed to Fox News on Sunday evening that the administration will not give priority evacuation to Americans in Afghanistan over Afghans applying for visas.

Democrats and mass migration activists are pleading with President Joe Biden to open the United States’ borders to a flood of Afghans.

As Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul falls under Taliban control, House Democrats are urging Biden to admit as many Afghans to the U.S. as possible through the Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) program and the refugee resettlement program.
