Our allies love riding our coattails. Saves them lots of money for socialist programs like "free" medical care. Imagine if other countries had to pay the whole cost of their defenses what their budgets would look like ... and how ours might be reapportioned - reapportioned because congress would still spend the "peace dividend". I've got mixed feelings on what we pay for our "defense" because at least some of that goes back into the pockets of Americans ... for now - but slipping away there too. At least it does more for the US economy than stimulating the purchase of Chinese consumer goods.

Anyway unstable places with terrorist breeding grounds are a lot closer to Europe than they are to us, but that's only a consideration if we keep up with who is crossing our own borders. The oceans that used to soundly protect us turned into ponds, and TSA etc only cover the classical entry points. Mexico leaks like a sieve - well, maybe more like a wide open faucet.

It would be hilarious if wasn't so scary how fast in just 8 months this administration has destroyed this country and the great things President Trump had done for it despite opposition he had at every turn from the left and the MSM.

We had relative peace in the ME, a secure border, energy independence for the first time in 50+ years, low gas prices, higher wages, record low unemployment, record low people on welfare. But how dare he hurt somebody's feelings with a tweet!🤬

The father told FOX 31 that his wife and children were visiting family when the Taliban invaded

A man from Colorado is working as hard as he can to bring his wife and children home, who are currently stuck in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The father, who wished to remain anonymous, said his wife called him on Saturday and said that the Taliban was all over the city, FOX 31 reported. She and her children were apparently visiting family in Afghanistan when the Taliban invaded.

The man said that his wife wanted to come home, so he booked a flight through Turkish Airlines for Sunday, according to FOX 31. Unfortunately, the flight was canceled several hours before it was scheduled to depart.

I hate that this is happening to his family. It has to be terrifying for all involved. I certainly don’t have the details, and I’m not trying to be insensitive, but what the hell are you thinking about? We’ve been watching the walls cave in for weeks.
