Sounds like some crazy **** to me. I bet your one of those gators that predicts 10-2 or better, lol. In fact you could have been one of the many that said 14-1 with a playoff birth from the sounds of your post.

Nope... I have already posted probably 8 wins.

Pretty crazy to predict a FR RB that has never took a snap in college to be better than a back that has been picked as one of the top 10 backs in the SEC.

You forgot where you are! Our, too tall, FR RB who has never taken a snap in college is the greatest thing since sliced bread....just ask us!

You are kidding... Broke Emmits Smiths records in H.S. in FL and rushed for over 500 yards on limited carriers for a 4.6 yards a carry his freshman season. This was behind a patch work line. He has great vision and cutting ability.

Hurd hasn't played in a college game so we really don't know what he will do against SEC "D".

Taylor, Jones, and maybe even Mack would get touches at UT.

Matt Jones is bigger and just as fast as Hurd....

IMO, Lane is better than Taylor. Lane runs harder, hits the hole and gets what's there as good as any back in the SEC. He just lacks great speed to break away, but he is always falling forward when tackled and gets extra yards after contact.

Jalen Hurd is 6'3", 220 lbs and runs a 4.3 40. I can't think of a player on UF's roster with that kind of size and speed.

I hope this kid lives up to the hype. I know with 247 coverage and Hudl videos these kids get to promote themselves but I hope he is: Jamaal Lewis, Travis Henry, Travis Stephens, and Charlie Garner all rolled into 1.

Not sure how good they'll be but I know Driskel and Muschamp beat the holy hell out of a much better team than UT has now in 2012, in Knoxville.

No, but Hurd has been clocked at 4.37 40 yd, 6'3" 220 .

according to odetogators website, Matt jones 4.72 40 yd 6'3" 210 coming out of high school.

Don't ya hate when facts get in the way?

Matt Jones is 6'2" 235 lbs and runs a 4.4 40. He was sick during fall practice last year and than injured his knee and was gone for the season. He was one of the starters lost for the season.

This was in 2013...

Facts...

"Will Muschamp said Matt Jones weighed 230 and ran a 4.4 40-yard dash at Florida's team "combine"

I feel like we have a top 3 stable in the SEC. Lane is for real and he will be fully healthy and ready to go this year. Add Hurd and Scott

Well, it's funny to me that no where in print have I seen Matt jones 40 time except for a post saying Muschimp saying he ran a 4.4 40, when in hs he ran 4.72. Now has the strength and conditioning shaved off .32 seconds and if that's the case , I truly believe Hurd will be timed running a 4 flat 40 after he gets in our strength and conditioning program.

Which nobody will give credit to until we go out curb stomping other teams.

And Ed Aschoff can eat a fat one when at least one if not more of our backs run for a grand this year.

Yes. The curb stomping's will begin in a matter of weeks. The world will see that UT is on the way back and will fear no one.

I'd take (3) 7-800 yard gainers and run with it...no pun intended.

I think Florida's season last year was just a hiccup in the grand scheme of things. They were much more talented than their record indicated. I'm hoping I'm wrong and their losing ways continue

I'm just convinced the injuries were the key reason they flopped last year. I heard them say on SEC network to imagine any team losing their starting qb, starting RB, both starting offensive tackles, starting right guard, best playmaker WR and KR, starting MLB, and arguably the best DT in the SEC in Easley.

This should help... Same site and Jones and Hurds 40s are similar. Jones is bigger but Hurd has TE height... Hope this helps

I'd take a combined 2,000+ rushing yard season no problem.

I personally think Lane can have a dominating year though and go for a thousand easily. He's a bruiser that doesn't get taken down that easily.

He punishes DBs and slithers through the cracks. Doesn't have the game breaking speed...doesn't need it.

I think of the two, Hurd is the better open field runner with the potential for Scott to come into that role as well. With Lane, he's your 3rd and short guy that's going to pound it up the gut and get that 1st down. But not saying he can't get some good yards down the field.

It's really awesome to have the discussions about having too many talented people on the roster.

Apparently Jones is faster than FSU's entire defense:

Has Hurd played in an SEC game somewhere that I missed? The guy has tremendous potential and all the apparent tools, but let's watch him for a few games before we call him the next Bo Jackson. Frankly, we have no clue how Hurd will perform. Let the kid develop.

Seriously? Can one not look at practice and see he's quick when he gets in the open?

Don't read too far into posts. You'll give yourself an ulcer.

If he doesn't perform, if he doesn't dominate like we expect, how does that help UT football? It doesn't.
