I think this goes beyond partisanship. JMO, but I feel like this is information we should not be hearing about. Cancelled military strikes? I just think that stuff should be kept under wraps. No need to broadcast it, yet Trump is on Twitter bragging about it. What legitimate purpose does it serve?

In this case, I think Trump is the one exhibiting ridiculous behavior. If I had to guess, 95% of the nation would probably agree the order shouldn't have been given in the first place, which is why they agree with him calling it off. I just think the situation paints him as indecisive, and that can be construed as weakness by the enemy.

I think that this is a not so veiled warning to Iran that did not cost anything in human lives.

If they think he is "indecisive" and take it that way, next time will be much worse for them (and us) than this would have been if he had carried this one out.

Trump withdrew from the JCPOA. As of yet there's no framework to replace it. We've gotten no allies onboard to go along with whatever the new framework might be.

Are we supposed to be negotiating with the Iranian government right now? Or are we waiting for something or other to happen and then comes the golden moment for a new deal?

Is America committed to maintaining free shipping through the Gulf or nah?

Not sure what secret facts are out there that will come to light and then suddenly we'll all say, "Oh, I get it!"

Criticizing him for calling it off by claiming he did not know the casualty figures until the last ten minutes, when such is apparently another whopper by him, is not rooting for him to fail. I think the vast majority of people agree with the RESULT of his decision, but that is not the same thing as questioning the way that it occurred.
