"DJ also continues to shoot it very well" is my favorite part. Tbh for some reason I always forget about him. I saw him as more of slasher and didn't know much about his shooting abilities.
Yea, Carr & DJ are 2 guys many (myself included) have talked about being end of bench and gonna have a tough time finding minutes…if that’s the case we are gonna be really damn good because both of those guys have been very impressive. Carr could turn out to be such a steal, he’s got the frame and wingspan that can’t be taught."DJ also continues to shoot it very well" is my favorite part. How in the world are we going to find mins for everyone???
I think Jefferson works his way into the rotation one way or another. May be matchup dependent.ZZ 25 /Freddie 15
Santi 30/Gainey 10
Knecht 20/Mashack 20
JJ/Ledlum (again a tricky one considering JJ can’t stay healthy)
Aidoo/Awaka (another one I can see straight up splitting minutes, but I’ll say Aidoo 25/Awaka 15)
- I can see ZZ and Freddie splitting 20 at the PG spot till ZZ fully makes a recovery (didn’t read the whole article he may be healthy)
- Id say Estrella and Carr get mop up minutes
- Cade gets a redshirt
I really like Carr. I watched him play the national tournament with his academy team and was impressed, wondering why he wasn't getting more buzz than he did. Honestly, I was much more impressed with him than I was watching a high school Julian Phillips.
There are some really good players who aren't going to get a lot of court time whom I hope won't get discouraged and leave because they are going to be a solid core for us going into 24-25. We are set up nicely for the next couple of years, if the glut of talent doesn't work against us.
Just remember to take any VQ report for summer workouts with a very large grain of salt
I don’t think anyone in here is overreacting to the report. We may or may not have a great season, but it is probably not in question that this is the deepest roster we’ve had in the Barnes era. Now, maybe that results in chemistry issues and we fall flat on our face. But, reading all these reports it is fairly clear we have the most athletic and well-rounded roster we’ve seen here. It’s exciting stuff and at the very least bodes well for the future and for preventing “reload” seasons.
Oh I’m not denying we will have a very good team.
Just warning to be careful on individual reports. I’m still scarred from Zach Kent
His HS tape reminded me of Kevin porter Jr without the bad attitude and playmaking. I think he’s too talented to sit on the bench."DJ also continues to shoot it very well" is my favorite part.
