Tebow Goes in First Round to Denver

Ok I can see how Colt Mccoy could be better. I dont see Clausen doing any better than Quinn is doing now. ND has had relatively easy schedules the past couple of years and still could do no better than 7 wins.

extremely accurate and his ND coach was (and now is again) an NFL offensive coordinator. I'll be shocked if he doesn't have a better career than tebow, tho I'm not suggesting that clausen will have a great NFL career--who knows. ND's offense was great last year--they had NO defense at all, which is why they only won seven games or whatever.

I think the reason he wasn't drafted in the first round is more due to his attitude. Every one of those Clausen boys have really, really crappy attitudes. I honestly believe Casey was a major part of the problem in UT's locker room right along with Kelly Washington that began the downfall of our football program.

Josh McDaniel is an idiot, a terrible head coach and seems to be a major prick. I couldn't wish for a more perfect ending to his days as the leader of an NFL football team.

I know alot of you guys despise Tebow ( i have a son that thinks he and Meyer have a love affair) but you can't take away the guy's love of the game. What folks don't get is they actually have coaches in the NFL that will work you one on one till you bleed out your ears to make them not look bad on their selection and also for the player to live up to what he is capable of. That being said. I hate Florida as much as the rest of you but I believe Tebow is true in his beliefs and commitments and I believe myself that he can do really well, in time, for Denver. At least VY knows how to operate out of the shotgun and from under the center

One of two things will have to happen for Teabag. Either (a) a team will have to completely scrap their offensive scheme and everyone will have to learn to play the way he plays or (b) he will have to learn how to be a NFL type QB.
IMO, (a) wont happen. There's too much money tied in in too many players to take the chance that the TT system will work. If it doesnt, they're screwed. My guess is that (b) will happen but it might take a long time to perfect. Can he do it? sure, he's got the intelligence but he's got to unlearn 8+ years of one system to adapt to another.
It will be interesting but I think Den could have got him in the 2nd much, much cheaper

Tim Tebow was drafted at #25 in the FIRST ROUND of 2010 NFL Draft.

In spite of many media know-it-alls and message board gurus, a multimillion dollar pro sports franchise chose to invest in a quality young man who has been a winner at everything he does.

Put it like this, great. So was Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf. You have no point.

There are as many 1st rd bust as there are 1st rd successes. Its a roll of the dice and wait and see. It doesnt matter what you did in college or what award you got, its what you can do at the next level.

He's got alot of learning to do before Den recoups their investment.

And your point is that he will be a bust or a success.

Thanks for sharing your expert insight.

yeah, you run with that one. Be sure to print shirts up about it too. Print alot of them. Be sure to ask them at Washington State how many since they were just as giddy about Ryan Leaf going in round 1.

I hated Tebow for what he did to us all those years but I don't wish him any ill will. He has a lot of work to do, hell all new players to the league do but Tebow has more to learn that he has no real comfort level or experience with. I will say that it seemed like the Broncos reached a round or so too early but they obviously identified him and wanted to take that chance. In a way it works against Tebow because now he has even more to prove. I have no doubt that he will give it his best shot though, we will have to wait and see how it shakes out.

What cracked me up the most last night is Tebow had a twin last night at his house party. Nothing like wardrobe coordination that says I love you.

I like and respect Tebow, and I hope the kid finds some kind of success. However, I was reading the NFL draft grades on ESPN, and couldn't help but chuckle at it. So I cropped a picture. Notice Tebows Grade along with his team.

It takes a Vol to teach a ga-terd about football since you had zero until Spurrier got there in the 90s. Thank you.

save for a fluke year, the vols have had zero football since spurrier got there in the 90's. i'll take our current situation, thanks.

pretty sure the gators got an F when he signed with us too, seeing how he wasn't going to be able to succeed against against sec defenses, wouldnt succeed as a starter, couldnt throw, etc. lol. howd that work out?

i'm gonna go pull some '06 threads to see what you guys were saying when he became a starter. should be good laughs. you all are sure some football gurus.
