Ted Nugent on Parkland Kids

You all need to get together and "prepare your narrative". You're all over the map. Amusing.

Is this why you're avoiding engaging me on the issue?

Or is it because I'm way smarter than you are on the subject and will beat you silly with your "facts"?

Bet you had a hard time swallowing that Wednesday after the election in 2016. Remember those "polls"? Consensus of the biggest landslide win in history? muhahahaha.

Morale of the story: Polling is not infallible so use a little critical thinking and reasoning.
I knew that was coming from someone. An anomaly in polling history is now labeled as flawed data. Also amusing.

Why is the left attacking the NRA so hard?

The NRA doesn't sell guns. The NRA has nothing to do with Parkland.

It is obviously a purely political move used to damage politicians that receive campaign funds from the NRA.

Do you honestly not think the gun industry substantially funds the NRA? Or do their extremely deep pockets just come from membership dues and small private donations? And, before you go into attack mode, I'm a second amendment supporter. To think the two are not intimately linked is a bit naive, though. It's natural that the NRA would be a target of gun control advocates.

I have no doubt the "gun industry" helps fund the NRA. However, private donations are a good portion of their income as well.

The problem, as I noted before, is the NRA is a pro-2A organization that uses its 1A right to conclude business. It speaks for a group of people that want their voices heard. While I'm not a member, I do applaud the stance they've taken in the past 10 years or so. Used to be they were a bunch of old Fudds that wouldn't hesitate to give up a little (or a lot) to politicians as long as the money kept rolling in from members and companies. Now? They actually realize the "how do you eat an elephant" theory of gun control and go on the attack.

I thought we were discussing the "movement".

This is off limits?
You and I were discussing your ironclad statement that the Parkland victims said they wanted to eliminate the 2nd Amendment. Still waiting for that.

The NRA has over 5 million members.

Membership is $40/year

That's annual membership revenue of $200MM

I joined this year because I believe in protecting the constitution.

This thread topic is about Nugent. He's a f'ing idiot for making such a comment.

And it takes a special kind of POS to go onto a message board and refer to some teenagers as retarded. A special, DUMB POS

What is the movement about?

It's about controlling the political landscape to get gun control legislation passed.

How is it being done? Political attacks on the NRA and any politicians that receive campaign funds from the NRA.

If you want a direct quote then I don't have one. If you can't acknowledge what's happening then I feel sorry for you.

These kids threw themselves into the political scene. They are fair game. The fact that they are not yet 18 is irrelevant.

It is definitely more complicated in this case, yes. That's because you have a commercial industry that has a strong tie to a US constitutional amendment. The US keeps the gun industry afloat. We have about half of the world's privately owned firearms. Hard to separate the two.

I know there is a strong private donation source. I did my research before posting. My point is still valid. If you are trying to push for gun control, attacking the NRA is a perfectly legitimate strategy.
