I partially agree. What's best for him is not just pertaining to money though. It's also where his family wants to live, what program he feels like he can succeed at, what coaches he feels the most comfortable working with, etc. Yes, T is familiar with the UT campus and tradition, but he doesn't know this new coaching staff. It's up to the coach to sell T on his vision and ultimately get him to buy in. T's success hinges on the coach's philosophy and success. So IMO, Butch does have to recruit T back to UT for that reason. It isn't the only factor, but it is a factor.

Remember Rodney Gardner's wife is from the Athens Georgia area and she was the one that pushed for him to take the UGA job in 1999. Also, when Kiffin offered him a job in Knoxville, his wife convinced him to remain in Athens, close to her family.

You do realize the Charlie Strong's wife told him the other day that for some reason the U.T. job didn't seem right? He ended up not taking the job.

You do realize the Gabe Wright is from Columbus Georgia and his mother and girl friend convinced him to go to Auburn, which is close to home, rather than to U.T.?

I doudt Tee's wife will want to come to Knoxville...career wise...

You do realize each of those situations are independent decisions that have no bearing on this.

Thank y'all for all the info. I see "TOS" referenced to a good bit on these forums. I have researched, but found nothing definative. Possibly "The Other Site?" If so, what site? If not, any help? Thanks so much.

Word from tos is the delay is contract buy out language related. They may be doing a work around. Hinshaw going to UK is a sign Tee is coming to UT.

Great. I hope there is more incentive here for Tee. He has been a professional about it. I hope he doesn't get allured to UA by Saban, but a likely possibility. He is a hot commodity amongst coaches these days. If Butch pulls this off with who else he has brought in, I'm impressed and excited to see how we end up this recruiting cycle.
