Tee Martin/Vince Young

You must be joking. Or don't watch NFL football. He just got ROTY.

I can absolutely guarantee you I watch more NFL games and know more about the NFL than you.

There were at least 25 better statistical QBs in the NFL this season that Vince Young. He also wasn't the one of the best 3 statistical ROOKIE QBs this season.

Listen, I like Vince Young and his leadership seems to be astounding. However, his passer rating, passing completion %, and TD-INT ratio are AWFUL. I have this gut feeling his career will be a lot like his 2006 season. I think he might continually be a 52% passer, with a 1:1 TD:INT ratio, and he'll run for 700+ yards. Not a great QB.

Does he not have the ability to get better?

Will Cutler and Leinart always be the same QBs they were their rookie season stats-wise?

That's what I'm trying to say. Yes, QBs grow, but my GUT (as I said) says he won't grow like people are expecting. Obviously I could be completely wrong, but my gut is like ... the best ever. :)

He may or may not... he did a lot better than I thought he would this season. I (obviously) hope he continues to grow as a QB, as he still has a ways to go.

What do you think about McNabb? Everyone is quick to compare Young to Vick, but I dunno that I've ever heard him compared to McNabb...

Is there a rule that he can only be compared to other African American QBs?

Exactly. If, for the sake of debate, we say he's a great leader and a questionable passer, wouldn't Jim McMahon or Trent Dilfer be a fair comparison?

Dilfer is not in the same league as Young, and Young could never keep up with McMahon on the bong.

Good point but to compare Brady and Vick or Brady and Young does not work well. Now that I think about it you cant even compare caucasion people to Brady.:eek:hmy:

Sure, at this point, regarding the passing ability anyway. I'll be happy if Young wins as many Super Bowls as those two while he's in a Titan uniform. :rock2:

I'm sure you would. That would bring the all time franchise total to 1.

Dilfer has QB'd a team to the pinnacle, I believe that trumps one mildly impressive 3/4 of a season. Jimmy Mc does know how to have fun.

Not a bad guy at all to take your chances with. If VY can come along and both teams get a defense, that could be a possible AFC playoff matchup for the years to come.
