Tee Martin - what is happening now.

You people kill me. His wife has no singing career, will never have a singing career. Did you see the pic of her pushin' that baby stroller? Pretty obvious who pays the bills. Tee to Tennessee is a done deal, book it.

She did have a song in the top 100 at one time. Your concept of a career in singing is very demanding.

Simon Cowell, that you?

Our best hope of getting Tee, is that the wheels fell off at USC this season and maybe he is seeing that hitching your wagon to Kiffey isn't the best career move??

One top 25 "hit" and nothing else in what...a decade? Her singing career has been dead for a while now. She should realize that.

in what hes staying or leaving?

staying, and to answer volleygirl, we all went to bed hoping for other coaches and woke up with bad news. Just replace Martin's name on govolsxtra.com with Strong and it all feels the same. _______ mulling offer to join Vols.

This is sort of true. She no longer is involved in singing or recording songs. She had one decent song out several years ago.

Doesn't bode well for his character, although its just one day. It certainly is perplexing if he does turn the job down since he has been vocal about wanting to "come home".

You're sitting in judgement of his character? You know nothing about him or his family. You're a pos... Just GTFO.

Tee may like working for Lane but if Lane has another season like this year Tee will not be working for him. If Tee not retained will be job searching.

Might want to say GTFO to about 90% of posters on here. I have said in many places that he is being formal and polite by coming out here, but perplexing about why he would take the time to come all the way out of here only to think it over. He is in the coaching business. Get use to criticism. He should get use to unstable job security, it's innate in CFB, and he should know this. He can come to UT with a new coach guaranteed 3 years, or stick it out with kiffin for one more year and look for another job.

Please don't take my words personal, it's opinion, and I just put it down.

None of us know all the schools he has offers from at this time. None of us know the best opportunity for his career path to OC and later HC. We all want him, but it might be better for his future somewhere else. Wish him well no matter what.

If he chooses USC and Lane Kiffin over UT for similar money terms, after parading his family through the airport and the fanfare he received, then that doesn't seem very VFL to me.

That is completely retarded. It's his life and his decision and he should do whatever he feels is right for his family. He already entertained you for free and gave you a national title. His obligation is over.

I won't pretend like I know how these things work. However, perhaps he wants to go back and be able to look his players in the eye and tell them the news before the media does. Perhaps he wants to go back to his office and get notes and whatever else before he is locked out of the building.

It's a likely possibility. But, when all these posters meet Tee and ask him when he is coming back to UT, he always replies " Whenever they ask me." Well, here we are.

Ok poster. I have the right to a subjective and honest opinion especially when it's not derogatory or inflammatory to Tee.

I laugh at people like you who have never met him but are willing to sit in judgement. I'll stick by my earlier assessment of your post.

Have you ever been faced with a decision about making a move for a job and uprooting your family?

Would love to have Tee, but this is looking and sounding too much like Strong to have a good ending.

If he has to think about staying with Kiffin, then I am worried.

I believe Coach Jones will make a good choice if Tee does not come.

It just seems strange that Tee is taking days to decide on Tennessee position coach job, the place where he was, and is, a hero, but Coach Butch Jones only took hours to make the decision to become the HEAD COACH because he wanted to be a VOL!

He has to put his family's wishes first. Nobody would drag their family across the country if they didn't want to leave and they had the option to stay. He may very well want to be here with all his heart, but its the family that he has to convince.

Again, I can log on and put my opinion on the computer as a fan as long as I am within the rules and regulations of Volnation. If you don't enjoy my post, just put the ignore button on.

I have. I understand Tee's side to it. I'm not discrediting it. I'm just putting out there what he publicly says about his willingness to return to UT. Here is his chance. Butch is our guy for the next 3 years, it's a great opportunity.
