I agree. However, what if there are issues between or with Tee's wife and the mother of the kid here? Just pointing out that could go both ways. Right or wrong, that's the reality of these types of situations sometimes.

Seriously... Its nice if he's here, but there are 100 other people out there with no prior connections to Tennessee football that can match his productivity at X position...

This hire doesn't make or break this staff IMO but to say this isn't accurate.

When making big moves in business, I have always concerned myself with how it affects my children. If it would put me in a position to be around all of my kids in one place, I would not hesitate if I could make it work. Would take less money as long as it was enough to provide. I would understand him not coming to UT. But, be confused how he could live that far away from a child when he had the choice. Of course, they make enough money to fly around and he does come to the area to recruit some. But, still not the same.

I'm biased on the subject. I have 3 boys and see them almost everyday. Can't imagine not being around them.
But, I don't know for sure that he has a son in knoxville, and I don't know the circumstances. However, if there is enough relationship to go hang out and watch him play, there is possibly a deeper reason than football to come back.

If someone had a list of recruiter rankings that they could use to tell me where he is on that list, I'd be glad to hear it... I looked briefly, but couldn't find it... It does seem like he's recruiting solid players, but I could recruit solid players to Los Angeles as well...

I was also saying 100 more as a generalization than exactly how many I think could replace him... My point was its not a make or break hire, the fact many people acknowledge that and are still going Gruden Crazy over him is mind-numbing....

He has a son from a previous relationship. He was at Powell middle watching him play b ball tonight per RichRollins and others. I am with you. I would do anything for my kids and if I had to even live in another state, it would drive me crazy.

Glad you have this relationship with your boys and feel the same way as you do.

Enough bcarter. Out of all the ignorance you spout now you say that our only NCAA Championship quarteback is not a VFL...whatever that is..if he Does not want to come work for a Big East Coach.

For someone calling another person ignorant, WTF is a "Big East Coach"??? Is Saban still a Big10 Coach, Meyer a WAC Coach, Miles a Big12 Coach??? How dumb are Richt and Muschamp, they weren't even coaches...

Your right. Probably more like 150. This is an attempt to satisfy the fanbase because most of us are nostalgic and dont care about facts, but his coaching resume is less than impressive. New Mexico was 1-11 with Tee as QB coach. Kentucky was.......well they were kentucky and finished at or near the bottom of the SEC. USC and Matt Barkley had one of their worst years in recent memory, although the offense wasnt totally to blame. Tee would recruit well and lord knows we could use some help in that area.

I said it didn't seem right. Can you imagine the hit to recruiting it would possibly be? My point is I cannot imagine him coming here not 99% sure he would accept. I still think he will. Just saying it seems crazy he would even come here if he wasn't almost certain he was coming. It would look very bad to have our VFL NC QB come, interview, then still work for the most hated man in UT history.

Never meant to say he is not VFL meant to say it wouldn't be VFL to make UT look foolish. Him publicly interviewing and turning down would make UT look foolish imo.

Is Urban Meyer employed by an SEC school??? No

Is the SEC better than the big10??? Yes

Urban Meyers left on his own or he would still be in Florida
But I think CBJ will be in the same category as the top coaches
in the country like Meyers, Spurrier, Saban, Miles..... SOON
But as of now I dont know if he is "better than Meyers" but will see
how it all plays out.
