Perhaps you have no issue "admitting your faith" because talking snakes, angles with flaming swords, and big ships sailing the flooded earth usually require that sort of thing.
Christians spend their lives believing a set of parables, commandments, and gods/angels/devils/demons in hopes of eternal salvation. Evolutionists have no purpose for believing we came from a primordial pool; no goal.
That is why evolution doesn't require faith.
Not Marcus but I am a " born again" christian.
I do spend my life believing in God in , your words, " hopes of eternal salvation".
When I am dead and gone, if I am wrong about God and my etrnal salvation, I have lost nothing. I will never know.
On the other hand if you are wrong, you will know and will suffer for eternity, you have lost everything. If you are right you will never know. I am assuming you do not believe in God per your post.

Oh, Pascal. What if you are worshiping the wrong god? You could spend your life esteeming a false idol and pissing off a jealous god; I could spend my life worshiping neither the real god nor a false idol, simply doing the best I can with the information available. Such a god could possibly be more forgiving and merciful to me than to you.
Pascal's wager only concerns the dichotomy between a Christian God and no god. This is why it fails miserably.
I am talking about your position about the validity of micro vs macro evolution, and it being compatible with the Bible.
I watched half of the video you posted. Some things he has a credible point others he does not.
I appreciate your honesty. I don't see how someone could deny that these lies are in the textbooks when its clear that they are. I am sorry for my bad attitude earlier. I thought that you were either suggesting Hovind fabricated said textbooks or never bothered to watch at all and blindly denied it. I was wrong in my attitude towards you. I admittedly get frustrated at the issue.
I truly do not have a problem with the proven aspects of evolution being taught in school, even taught as fact if they are repeatable and observable truth. I don't have a problem with evolution being taught as a theory for the origin of life as long as other theories are given equal time and respect. What we have in our classrooms today is far from that. It is sad.
I make 52k a year and support a family of 4. We make hard choices and many sacrifices to put my kids thru Christian school so they won't be taught from these books. I am happy to do this, I do it freely...but I resent having to. If there were no lies in the textbooks I could put my children thru public school like most do. There are many questions I have regarding the books and curriculum.
Why does texas set the curriculum for the rest of the country? Why are lies disproven 40 or 50 years ago allowed in the books? I know you probably agree with little of what Dr. Hovind believes but I hope the video opened your eyes to some of the outrageous things that are passed of as fact.
Did you make it to the part about the grand canyon? I'm not a geologist so I don't know what to think...but from what he shows the colorado river would have had to flow uphill for millions of years to create the canyon. Thoughts on this?

so is criticism of the bible taught in your kids school? If not then it seems you're doing them few favors
From a purely academic standpoint...my son is in 4th grade.
My son got saved in 1st grade, of his own free will,
Marcus, in your opinion what alternate scientific theories should be taught in science classes? Because contrary to what you may think, nothing is being taught as fact, at least not anymore than something like gravity. Seriously, what else is supposed to be taught?
