Tennessee at #17

I think Maymon bringing it up as much as possible, if he is healthy enough. McRae and Richardson could be used to help, also assuming they get better with their age and expierence. Hope Hubbs could help as well.

Obviously everyone's allowed an opinion, but I don't think this turn out too well. Maymon does indeed help, but he's not lebron, he can't shoulder PG duties. When McRae had to play it this year it really screwed with him, and josh can only dribble with one hand which is why we rarely saw him bringing up the ball.

Not promising it wouldn't work, but IMO it wouldn't. If I saw a lineup of McRae, Richardson, Hubbs, Maymon and Stokes out there I'd press us all day.

IMO best case is that we either add a juco PG who we feel has the ability to play immediately, or a graduate transfer PG who can play and contribute immediately. That, or if Darius Thompson gets ready in a hurry and is ready to contribute next year. Or If the light comes on for Golden and he plays consistent his senior year.

Yes much better this yr.....I didn't understand the second class at all but hopefully he will keep improving.

Yeah. Another thing to note is that the SEC pulled in some really good talent this year, getting 10 of the top 20 players. LSU, Bama, Arkansas, and Tennessee all pulled at least one really good talent. Not sure if that'll happen again next year.

Then again, if we live up the all the expectations that apparently are being thrown around, it hopefully won't matter.

Correct. He may still go pro, but he's definitely not in Memphis and has not dropped out.

Evan Woodbery stated on the radio yesterday afternoon that he believed that Stokes would likely go into NBA draft even if he was only second round. Woodbery added that it would be a big mistake if he did - just like Hopson.

Don't understand the class of Stokes, Moore, Reese and Edwards?

I always considered Stokes part of the first class bc that is going to be his graduating class....I know I have seen it put both ways and I know the recruiting services consider him 2012.

Stokes does add some polish to a turd of a recruiting class although I really like Armani Moore....I want to win basketball games that matter and recruiting wars that matter....None of the other three was receiving much interest from High major schools....Those are the battles that have to be won. Plus all three are wing players when we have obvious deficiencies at PG and need post depth.

Rob Lewis has been saying the same thing for months, if he gets feedback he will get drafted he's gone...but Lewis says everything he's heard from these scouts is that he'd go undrafted.

Edwards, Reese and Landry were all taking pretty early in their respective "recruiting process". I've always maintained that IMO CCM thought the situation was going to be worse than it turned out to be, whether he thought there were sanctions coming or what, I have always gotten the impression he thought things were gonna be worse. So as a result he offered some guys he felt flew under the radar and that could develop (Landry, Reese and Edwards). Now...when he realized he was having better luck than expected should he have cut ties with Reese and Edwards, that depends who you ask. My hope was that this was the case and how he recruited going forward would back that up...Hubbs, Thompson and Davis were all highly sought after guys so train appears to be headed in the right direction. That's why when I saw the juco that is supposedly gonna visit I was dissapointed, he's a Yemi type project and a type of recruit I thought we were over.

Basically, each class has gotten better IMO. His first was pretty awful outside of josh, last class he got stokes and Moore, and this class has at least Hubbs, Davis and Thompson...hopefully we keep going in that direction.

Stokes would be considered in his first class since he played in Martins first year here.

I don't think he's gone but unfortunately I won't be too surprised if he leaves either. From what I've heard, he's just like CP - not a big fan of classes.

I think McRae has more incentive to go given that he'd probably have a better chance of being drafted and he has a kid, but my impression is that he feels he has unfinished business at Tennessee given how this past season went.
