Oh yeah I agree. Few will note and fewer will care (except us).No, this is taking play the hand you’re dealt and find a way to win. Schedule doesn’t care who plays, just the result.
That sounds about right. And we're pretty definitely wo her since she didn't practice at all. They'll be having shoot around soon so we'll get confirmation. With RJ, 3-1
Without RJ 1-3
Maybe, but as far as shaking off the consistently underwhelming reputation, I don't think RJ's injury will mean much. As the above post says, it will just be seen as part of the jinxThat's not necessarily totally true. The NCAA committee does look at things like players being out injured in games when determining tournament seeding, if that player is going to be available for the tournament.
We won’t get a favorable slot come selection time, may get a doable round 1 but after that we’d face a challenging gauntlet to advance. That's not necessarily totally true. I think there are some other pretty good SEC teams. Current NET rankings (per Warren Nolan):If we lose all 4 we are in real danger of not being a tournament team this year. The SEC outside of SC and LSU is not good. Won’t be many opportunities for resume wins in conference play if we can’t upset one of the Big 2.
Do not think Tennessee goes 0-4 next four ranked teams. But if they they have to show the people in charge of selection NCAA seeds improvemet by beating gamecocks or LSU with Jackson to get better seed.We won’t get a favorable slot come selection time, may get a doable round 1 but after that we’d face a challenging gauntlet to advance.
Have you seen Texas A&M and Mississippi State Rosters? Along with Ole Miss, it will be a fight for those top 5 spots. Obviously, South Carolina and LSU are the obvious favorites, but any of the next 3-4 teams could win on any given night. Mississippi State and A&M both got some really good transfers in. This early part of the season isn't going to mean that much. It helps, but it isn't and end-all if teams are losing in competitive early games. If we lose all 4 we are in real danger of not being a tournament team this year. It’s funny how major networks and sports affiliates can recognize talent up and down Tennessee roster but the teams supposedly own fans (really not fans) try to discredit every player but a 1 of 1 projected lottery pick. As much as I support this player, they aren’t carrying this team alone and it’s a joke to suggest they have to.
Funny how the negaVols want people to believe this team only has a chance based on one player. Even that is a disservice to that player putting that amount of pressure on them.
