the "fans" that are saying we are doomed and we are screwed are without a doubt fair weather fans... anybody on this site that says this stuff, i hope u never claim tennessee as ur team if strong or whoever is hired starts winning.. baffles me that people say that stupid stuff, i will watch and support the vols thru anything... your not even giving anyone hired a chance...tennessee has the cathedral of college football stadium, top football facilities, and tradition... have hope guys, the big wigs know what they are doing

I'll support who ever we hire till he shows it's not deserved to that end I will say this Just hire some d**n body already!!!!!!

I'm truly amazed at the rational thinking on this board. "Let's Disband the Football Team" "We need a homerun hire" --"Charlie Strong will never win a National Championship"--guys let's be a little sound in our logic and thinking. Charlie Strong can win here, and the possibility is he can win big. We aren't going to win a National Championship in one year...and we wouldn't do that with the so called home run's of Gruden or Gundy (both of whom aren't necessarily home runs). We gave Dooley time and he proved that he couldn't handle this program...now we are going in a better direction and I for one am excited.

Yeah there were people excite when we hired Dooley also... see where that got us.

Nobody was excited about Dooley. He was a likable guy in the beginning & did things the right way. We were just hopeful he could win. He did not.

Respect your opinion. A lot of former UT greats have proactively come out and said Strong will bring TN back. I think I am going to go on their word.

Nope he could end up being what DD was supposed to be (Zook) but you cannot get set back from one win in the SEC and 2 years of no bowls.

BINGO !!! They were coming there to play for Meyer not Strong. You are right about the next 3-5 yrs too. We'll just get more of the same crap we've had with Good Time Charlie only there will be even less people in the stadium watching it !!!

I love Tennessee.... but I'm a negavol until proven otherwise. I have no faith right now as much as I hate to say it.
