you all have to remember,,,we have shown inconsistency in holding high ranks in our recent past so they are gunshy to give us much credit....our shortcomings also affected Charlie and his predictions.

We have a lot of fences to mend.

Lots of teams rise and fall in the rankings. That shouldn't cause us to be ignored.

From the 5 Jan presser.

On Kellies comments praising the team after the Arkansas win…

"Actually, I think it was Mickey Dearstone. After the game, he grabbed me and he just said, 'I've seen a lot of teams play, and I've never seen anything like this.' And it was a very positive statement towards our team, and I think that just got me a little emotional, and I kind of carried that over to media, I guess. But they've done everything we've asked them to do, they really have. They're fun to coach, they're great to coach, they're great teammates, they fight, and I needed to say that. I needed the world to hear that."

I went back and watched the game again. It was a slugfest thanks to the officials letting them play and Tamari got mugged all game. I liked how they kept their cool through the physicality. I hope the SEC reviews the tape and strongly counsels their officials on not allowing that type of play. When Tamari complains, you know it's bad.

I have coached in games where I told my kids, if the zebras want stop the mugging, you have to stop it yourselves!
It gets ugly
and the refs usually come to the responding team
but as I tell the refs at that moment..."we came to ball, they came to brawl and you 3 came to watch,,you get control or I let this team get out of control"

I've seen mixed results challenging refs, especially the ones that are no good. They are most likely going to double down on their mistakes.

The biggest issue I see, other than a much bigger chance of injury, is when a team pushes the edge on physicality, the other team gets calls against them just to keep it more even.

Cameron Inouye is the worst. I hope to God she isn’t on the call tonight. She is definitely one who makes terrible calls and then doubles down with MORE terrible calls if she’s questioned. Also loves to have 5 or 6 monitor reviews about 5 minutes long every game.

Ive noticed that in general the monitor reviews have been much faster. That must have been discussed in the off season.

Tamari needs to develop a mid-range shot so she can get more field goal attempts. With the ability to make that shot she is a top five in the WNBA draft next season easily. Probably will be anyway, but having that shot helps the team and her as well.

She has one! She just needs to shoot it lol. I think Kellie prefers to get it to her on the block. The two FT line jumpers I can remember her taking she canned.

Only four shots last night and she shouldn't go any game without at least 10. Shooting 60 percent this season and for her career and never qualifies in field goal percentage because of not enough field goals made.

Yes, we need to continue to feed her the ball. Kellie sat her quite a bit last night just to protect her from being brutalized again. Thankfully her teammates played excellent defense and we were able to do so. In 23 minutes she had 9 points, 6 boards and 11 blocks. Imagine if we had left her out there for 40, which I fully believe she is capable of playing.

She shoots the 15 footer exceptionally well for someone her size and has consistently done that since her freshman year.
