Tennessee Lady Vol News

P.S. I will say that I recently saw a game — the first one I’d seen in years — in which the officials did NOT immediately blow the whistle every time opposing players were trying to wrestle it from the other and I loved it! Anyone else remember which game that was?

This has been one of our best teams at drawing fouls and getting to the line already over 300 trips and third in the SEC getting to the line. Only made 6 of 10 and in a few games this has made have to battle down the final minutes of the fourth quarter in able to get the win. Missed 13 against Stanford more than likely cost us that game. Missed 13 against Arkansas game would have been decided much earlier if we even made six of those 13 we missed. I hope it gets better because going to be a few game where we'll need them to win.

That’s been going on all over this year. I noticed in the Maryland/Indiana game especially they were allowing them a chance to sort it out on their own. This is a point of emphasis this season to improve game speed and flow.

Has been that way on the men’s side for decades. You very rarely see more than 1 jump ball in a men’s game. They allow the players to determine possession as they should.

We have won 3 they have played 0 and yet both stay in the same spot smh ridiculous
Heck, Arizona has only played one ranked team, lost, and still stays at number 4. That is total B.S. They lost to Louisville, barely beat Vanderbilt and Depaul just about knocked them off too. Talk about over-rated!

Power Rankings has Tennessee at #3, AP we’re at #7, and RealTime has us at #3.

Net has North Carolina ranked #3 with a strength of schedule of 154, Nebraska is ranked #8 with an sos of 131, and Tennessee is ranked #10, with a strength of schedule of 8.

Massey’s is similar. North Carolina ranked #7 with an sos of 111, they were previously ranked higher. Tennessee is ranked #8 with an sos of 9.

This is ridiculous. For some reason, Net and Massey’s both ranked North Carolina as if the level of competition made no difference. The Power Rankings article said North Carolina has yet to play a ranked team. To say they’ll be more accurate later is still nonsense, because there is no way North Carolina should ever be ranked above Tennessee right now. They are already listed in bracketology brackets. Yes, it feels like a conspiracy, just like letting Arizona and UConn stay highly ranked when they are not playing games.

Cremepuff’s (Charlie Creme) most recent article pisses me off to no end.

We are the #7 team in the country we have lost one game to the defending National Champion. We are top 10 in the Net rankings and have the best FG % defense in the entire country. We played a very tough schedule and have won all of them aside from 1. 13-1 is an excellent start for our schedule.

We are not mentioned even once in his article gearing up for NCAA play.

It’s sickening to me. Every single other team is mentioned in some aspect. Oregon isn’t even breaking the top 25 and got an entire section of the article. Creme is a UCONN fan and needs fired.

I will be writing a letter about this to both ESPN and to UT Athletics. I’ve donated enough money the last several years to catch some attention in the athletics department. I am absolutely tired of ESPN totally neglecting the Lady Vols. It appears both intentional and spiteful.

Seems petty but not being included in national media like this hurts our recruiting. I hope it pisses off our players and coaches as much as it does me. Let it add to that chip on their shoulder they’ve been playing with.

Agreed he gives love to Nebraska and UNC but not one word about Tennessee he never does . Yet they wonder why they get called biased , cant remember the last time ESPN put out an article that didnt include at least one UCONN reference. For instance this one starts using "UCONN" as an example . Like their the only team to have Covid issues its sickening and almost too blatant at this point . He literally mentioned every top 10 team and skipped over Tennessee. Smh

Unlike other pro sports, it's time for college basketball ranking to use only ESPN in ranking so we can concentrate on rankings.
