Tennessee Lady Vol News

But yet some folks questioned whether she could even play in this conference. If you can ball you can ball, it doesn't matter the conference.
If ever other player for Tennessee had matched her level of playing and intensity we'd have the title now. She was able to raise her level of play to the ultimate. I hope the other players take note and come out strong in the NCAA.

I totally agree she said she wanted a ring and went out there and performed like it and I, like you hope everyone tap in for the NCAA tournament. I don't care what anyone says, we still have the pieces to make a run if Horston comes back healthy and I know many teams wont want to face us if we are clicking on all cylinders.

This was the player who put up 25+ points and 10+ rebounds against a good Texas A&M team last year and we are finally seeing that player now!!!
I also think we are finally using her to her strengths. She no long is being ask to catch and shot the 15 footer, she is consistently getting it on the block where she can be effective. Setting screens and waiting for the pass to shoot the shot was never her thing. We put her in position now to go to work on the block and clean up missed baskets and we are now getting what we were expecting. That's just my opinion.

Humiliating as this is for Miles, she's fortunate to get to learn this lesson without anyone having to die in the process.

The level of her impairment is kinda shocking. Makes me wonder if she'd had any experience at all with alcohol before that night. First-timers tend to get real messed up real quickly.

Hope she's doing okay.

First time I got drunk I was almost thrown in jail for public drunkenness. 18 years old and dumb as hell. I’m sure she’s learned her lesson and just thankful she wasn’t hurt

Yep. My first time was nearly as bad. I was particularly immature at that point and had never even thought of drinking, so my "Sure, I'll try it" at my first drinking party very quickly ended up with my brain going to mush.

Have to rise above. Love that kid. Hate this situation. Good sign she played after this. I think it’s important to use this as a learning/growing moment. Not as a punishment moment.

Praise God she was not injured nor was anyone else. Hopefully she learned a valuable lesson.

I had my fair share of escapades as an undergrad. Was Student Body President when arrested for public intoxication. Good people can make poor decisions when under the influence. Thankfully I also had great mentors who were extremely disappointed, but helped me to grow from the experience. Love you BK 🧡🍊🧡🍊

Wow!! Just one of those palm to forehead “What were you thinking!!” moments. Thank God no one was hurt!!
Hopefully a lesson learned. If it was one of mine that car would be home in the garage or maybe sold actually!!

I mean, the cops had to punch through the windshield to get her to respond. That's not drunk driving, that's passed out driving!

I wonder who the car belonged to?

Certainly not condoning what BK did…but let’s not act like we haven’t all made stupid choices at 18. Thank God she didn’t hurt herself or anyone else, but let’s not act holier than thou in this situation. He who is without sin, cast the first stone.

This is the boat I’m in. The decisions you make before your brain is fully mature are QUESTIONABLE lol. My 30 something self would gasp at my 18 yo self.

Not to pass the blame - she was obviously inside the vehicle and passed out - but I have to believe she would have been with some one (and someone she trusted) just before driving away. I just don’t see Miss Miles dropping by the liquor store, grabbing a bottle, then just driving off …all alone. I’m not suggesting she was with older teammates, but the origin of this near-tragic night has me perplexed. And a little bit angry.
I Love these Ladies!
