Tennessee Lady Vol News

She does! I’m super excited to see how the work she put in translates for her. I know she said before last year was like a freshman season which makes me happy because I think if she’s here for two years after this one, she’s going to make a lot of noise for us. I love love love me some Tess.

Excited to see Tess hit the court this season and continue being a lethal 3pt threat.

Rickea and Jordan will draw lots of attention which should open things up for players like Tess, Sara, Justine and even Marta to rain 3s. It’s really gonna be a pick your poison situation!

All you have to do is go look at the video when Puckett hit the 3 against Belmont and a clip of Tess clapping on the sideline and look at her upper body compared to this picture and you see night and day so congrats to Conklin for guiding her and congrats for Tess putting in the work

tess darby one on one interview said "i got last year back" vols24/7 interview. tess was thinking of staying 5 with little sis here . more likly than not she takes covid year.

Looking ahead, we have the first big game of the season this year of all teams, (and we’re the only SEC game that day). It’s a night game, Tennessee at Ohio State. Had forgotten Ohio State beat LSU in the NCAA Tournament last season, and they were co-champs with Iowa in their conference, plus Ohio State is currently ranked #15 in the 2022 preseason poll.

It will be a big early test for us, hope we are ready.

GO LADY VOLS!!!

Is that our first actual game? November 8th seems early, but Coach Kellie will have the ladies ready to crack some Aesculus Glabra...

Right, she didn’t redshirt her first year so after this year she has two more years…
suarez if she takes covid for her first year on rocky top. Year two last year suarez red shirted. So this year could be year three of six this year plus three more of suarez. . So will have three freshmen suarez, pissott , e darby.

Depending on development and matchups, I could see all of the following starting one or more games this year: Powell, Walker, Miles, Horston, T. Darby, Pissott, Jackson, Suarez, Pucket, Franklin, Key, & Hollingshead. Wynn, Striplin, & E. Darby could be noticeable contributors. The only one I'm sure won't start or make a noticeable contribution is the injured Rennie. I'm glad I don't have to try to figure out which groups of players are the most effective together; it may take Kellie most of the year to get it totally straightened out.
Kellie watches for matchups, yes.

How do you all normally purchase Final Four tickets? I’m trying to go ahead and buy mine but they’re giving me the nosebleed seats. Is that normal? I thought by getting them early I’d be able to get the good seats!

Women's Bracketology: South Carolina, Stanford, Texas and Tennessee are top seeds

Creme puts us as a number one seed. Could very well be true but were playing the toughest schedule in the nation. To be a number one seed will probably need less than five losses and with our schedule many of them on the road will have to see if that is possible. Indiana, SC Va Tech, UConn home. Stanford, Texas, Ohio State. LSU road. If we can get a 5 and 3 out of those seven and take care of business with the rest which we should win 99 percent of we'll get that one seed.

All the things that Candace has done that no one else has done makes her the GOAT until someone else does everything she has done better and whomever that is would be some kind of fabulous player.

Not really Lady Vols news, but women's basketball news just the same. Just read on CBS News that Tiffany Jackson, former Texas Longhorn star, passed away at age 37 from breast cancer.
