I agree Volfan2....We have a lot of new players that will need time to gel together in game conditions....Any work they can get in before the games that count will be a big help...

Like most of you guys, I'm looking forward to this season being a magnificent one....

The smile on Coach Kellie's face says she knows how great this team is going to be this season......

I hope this year she comes and and plays smart but aggressive. I know the Refs call some weak fouls on her. I 'm not looking for her to play more than 20 minutes a game this season. I think she will sit out a lot of second quarters and a lot of the third as well. I think she starts and will be in there down the finish. We have the luxury if she get two fouls early of holding her out until the fourth quarter if we desire. Hollingshead and Franklin are elite backups.

I think it will be a huge help to her psychologically knowing that she has plenty of help on the bench this year. She can play looser and the refs will be less tempted to call fouls on her.

Last year there was too much pressure to keep her in the game and that sort of negative energy can affect how the team plays.

In basketball, the most aggressive team almost always wins. Anything which puts you on your heels, or makes you tentative is a huge handicap.

One thing I don't like though is not having a string of patsies to start the season. There are a LOT of new players on this team, and we will need time to find combinations and for them to jell together.

The florida game following the Loss of Keyan Green last year was evidence of this. Tamari played so tentative as to not pick up a foul and Florida ran us out of the Gym.

if the video with this video is of any evidence and Franklin is going 100%… Kellie said she’s still really explosive. If she’s healthy and we have a former conference DPOY in the starting lineup along with TK/Jordy/Rickea lord have mercyyyyyyyyyyyy.

We running people back to the bus this season. Sara looks good! These ladies look GOOD!! Marta looks GREAT! We almost there folks!

I don't think it will be an easy game since it is our first game and they are ranked in the top 20. Always tough on the road a little surprising we jumped right into the fire, but I believe we will win.

We are going to hit them with full court press from the get go...The Buckeyes will have black eyes when the game ends...Of this I'm sure.

Coach Kellie will be sending in fresh troops every chance she gets....It may be our first real game, but don't forget, it is theirs too.

Tennessee returned a really good core from last season. They were good enough to compete with that group, and now Tenn 2022 class (no need to distinguish where or how they were signed) features 3 former starters/all conference players including last years SEC leading scorer and 2 (2021, 2022) former All-Americans. Marta returns and looks healthy after starting as a freshman for Tennessee. I believe if they remain committed, disciplined, and healthy this is the best team in the country. Key, Walker, Franklin, Jackson, Tess, Marta, Powell, and Horston know how to win.
They are true leaders and starter caliber players. Tess doesn’t get a lot of credit but she’s the kind of 3-pt specialist player that fits perfectly on an elite team.
Before injuries took a toll last season this team was strong and maybe overachieved some but was very potent in rebounding and defense.
They added more talent and leadership but the youth is key on elite teams. Miles, Puckett, Wynn, Striplin, Hollingshead, and Pissott have the players around them to thrive this season. It may be 5 or 10 minutes a game but I expect to see a spark and extended runs/momentum shifts when the underclassmen step on the court. The younger Darby has some years to develop. Wishing Rennie a chance to return to the court her senior season. Excited to see this LV team in action. I see greatness in the makings.

the coach was about texas head coach or one other top teams coach by men. that coach said they recuited key . he said key more like 6 8 " . can not" his word for word but to me that coach wasing key 6 8 or better"

Another man women’s basketball coach, who may be Vic Schaefer (Texas head coach) recruited Tamari Key and that she was 6’8. Mud can’t remember the exact words of the coach, but that said coach was saying Tamari is 6’8 or taller.

He's either saying the catfish are ready to be fried or that a high profile coach, possibly with a Texas connection, stated that Key was 6-8 when she was being recruited.

Thank you i actually agree with this she's long go go gadget when it comes to length . Her personality sometimes hides her length with her posture but when she's playing aggressively and with intent / focus you see every bit of a 6'8 rim stopper ready to smash the ball in your face while blocking your shot LOL.

He said they recuited key but we know she comited to lady vols. when that team played lady vols last year he said key was taller than 6 6 . he said key was aroud 6 8. . the way i took it he was saying 6 8 or better. It could been louisville not sure on the team . just recall theyhad man as their head coach. know for sure not unconn coach who said.

two photo's on utsports.com lady vols share tv schedale key listed 6 6 standing by suarez6 3 the second photo of team you find if click rostor key 6 6 has hollingshead 6 5 on one side of her and pissott 6 4 on the other side.

He said .....what does the staff say that works with her in practice everyday ? Her length alone has to be at least 7 ft. Can a player her size actually play bigger than their actual height ? LOL
