If we're the 5th seed, we'd have to play the winner of the 12/13 game. That could get us to 19 wins before the NCAA tournament if we beat Texas A&M tomorrow and two SEC tournament games (12/13 winner and Alabama). Very doable, but beating Texas A&M and Alabama would be our 2nd and 3rd best wins in terms of NET, so still a big challenge.Too soon to discuss the possibility of not having 20 wins this season?
Presuming we win tomorrow we would need to win 3 more games.
Unlikely to beat SC, if we end up 5th we probably play Bama and IF we win that game we see SC again and likely lose (beating a team 3 times in one season is hard though, better teams have lost to opponents like this). We would be sitting at 18 wins meaning we would have to make the Sweet 16 to hit 20 wins on the season.
Again, a strange scheduling choice. We had a lot of new pieces to work in. Seems like a bad choice not to play the extra games we would have.

So it's better to finish 5th than 4th. Roll Tide!
Yeah we literally could have played 4 more games at least 2 would’ve been niceToo soon to discuss the possibility of not having 20 wins this season?

It is unacceptable to not get to 20 wins. It would be Kellie’s 2nd team to not get to 20 in 5 years. Before her, we had only one team since 1976 fail to win 20, and that was the team that got Holly fired.

Yes,,,but there are a lot of cup-cakes at the buffet table that we wouldn't have needed RJ forThey tried and were unable to add some extra games to the pre-conference schedule this season.
Also, Rickea Jackson's absence lead to losses against the pre-season ranked teams. I wonder where the men's team's record would be if Dalton Knecht had missed their pre-conference games as well?
Injuries are part of the game, every team has some sort of injuries during season. They tried and were unable to add some extra games to the pre-conference schedule this season.

You need a roster where you can just reload. Pat always had that someone goes down another player almost as good and sometimes better stepped in.Injuries are part of the game, every team has some sort of injuries during season.

Mens team lost ZZ last season at this time and still made it to round if 16 without star PG..

We played the USA Team, that was nice, but didn’t count. We lost 4 of the 8 games Rickea missed. Now, we miss Wells, too. They tried and were unable to add some extra games to the pre-conference schedule this season.

If we have a stacked team will u be worried about the schedule or just if we don’t get any good players through the portal? We played the USA Team, that was nice, but didn’t count. We lost 4 of the 8 games Rickea missed.
When people just look at wins and losses, the teams who played really weak schedules are highly ranked. It’s aggravating to see.
Now, with Oklahoma and Texas coming to the SEC next year, our conference schedule just got tougher, but we have already scheduled UConn for next year. We’re making our schedule harder than ever. Why?
Wins build confidence, and also gets you a better NCAA Tournament seed.
ZZ and RJ are not comparable. RJ is way more valuable for the lady vols than he is for for the men. now Knecht and RJ areInjuries are part of the game, every team has some sort of injuries during season.

You don’t have another Rikea Jackson hanging around. Pat could not have just reloaded a Tamika or Candace. You need a roster where you can just reload. Pat always had that someone goes down another player almost as good and sometimes better stepped in.
