Ya think? No. they’re paying for the use of name, image and likeness. Really.
That's a most lovely shade of turquoise you've got there. Reminds me very little of the time I had to clean a pool to settle a bet I'd lost. No, you most definitely don't want he details of my abject humiliation at the hands of an astonishingly beautiful and charming…errrmmm… hummingbird. Or perchance it was a wombat. All I remember for certain is that it was around the time of the Kennedy-Nixon debate. Now that fellow, Mr. Nixon, sure needed a tweak or two to his image. Five o’clock shadow looked harsh on the black & white TV. Pass the peanut butter cups, if you'd be so kind. It's all totally above board and proper.

Did you notice that they are going to go back and paid athletes as far back as the year 2016.
With men's basketball/football getting ninety % of the settlement for miss NIL deals to settle some of the lawsuits.
Women's college athletes won't get paid unless they forgo suing over Title IX lawsuits.
The lawyers for the power conferences said men product the lion's share of the Revenue.
So pretty much anyone besides men's basketball -football players can take what's left . Or fight them in a Court of law.

I’m assuming that goes back to the date of the original EASports lawsuit over the use of Name, Image and Likeness.

Still can't find the full lineup for the West Palm Beach Classic, but Richmond has posted their schedule, and it looks like we might be playing them in the second game on December 21: 2024-25 Women's Basketball Schedule - University of Richmond Athletics

Richmond finished #53 in the NET last year and came close(ish) to pulling off an upset of Duke in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament (led them by 9 at halftime). They lost their point guard to the transfer portal (UNC) but bring back some other solid options. Last season they were 4th in the NCAA in FT%, 7th in 3pt. %, and 11th in FG%. Not a bad opponent at all!

That said, Richmond's website has them playing us and Clemson, but Alabama's website also has them playing Richmond (and Michigan State), and each team only plays twice, so someone's schedule is wrong here.

On top of that, Tulsa has listed that they're playing Pitt in the Classic, but Pitt's website doesn't have the Classic listed at all and they seem to have other games scheduled that would conflict with it. Tulsa also has listed that they're playing Chattanooga, but then Montana's website ALSO has them listed as playing Tulsa.

It feels like none of these schools actually know anything yet with so much conflicting info.

I’ve been wondering about this. Hope we get at least one quality opponent.
