Tennessee Lady Vols Volleyball 2023

So where do we play next?
Apparently we will know by Monday…

First- and second-round matches will be played November 30 - December 3 at 16 campus sites. Teams winning both matches will continue to regional play December 7 and 9. Regionals for the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship will be held at four non-predetermined campus sites, which will be announced on December 4. At each site, four teams will compete in single elimination regional semifinal competition.

Probably Stanford…????

As I and many of you notice that Eve usually has a blouse under her sweater that is not buttoned and she has a hard time keeping those racks covered up!

Headed to Austin, Texas...
Hell yeah....

I assumed (incorrectly) we would be going to Austin. It looks like the NCAA determines the site, which means we at least get TX on a neutral court. They are 24-4 and the defending National Champions, BUT they do have a recent loss to Kansas State (16-11) where they were swept. Their other three losses all came in the first few weeks of the season.

Win that one and you've likely got 1 seed Stanford on their home court. They were pushed to 5 sets today by Houston so I wouldn't say it would be an impossible task to beat them - but an uphill battle to say the least. If we're going to make a final 4 run, this would be the year to do it... and if you make it by Texas and Stanford, you might as well go win the whole thing at that point.

This journalist re-ranks the remaining 16 teams left in the field. Tennessee lands in 9th place right behind Texas (8th), Kentucky (7th), and Stanford (6th). If you give it a look, scroll down to Tennessee’s blurb and check out the Lady Vol celebration footage (Splash Zone) of the LV locker room after last night’s win. Fun stuff!…
