In light of all this deception and negligence, I think Memphis should be tagged with a forfeit and a class action suit filed by all those people who came to Nashville for the game including gas, hotel, food and airline expenses. And include UT’s expenses in that as well. And ESPN’s expenses. And the arena expenses to hold the game. Memphis should have to pay it all. Surely there’s some ambulance chaser willing to do it.
Probably a good idea. We all know Pitino doesn’t mind a little risk. Like getting some strange on a table at a restaurant while married. That would be risky in my house.I think Memphis should play Iona/Pitino in Nashville sometime between 2/14 and 2/19 as both teams are off and have canceled a neutral site game...but that's just me.

Here's your problem: You are taking everything from a known cheater at face value....
Those close to the program have been contradicting him all morning.
I think this particular situation where thousands thought they were going to see a good college basketball game, and then it gets taken away an hour before the event, is a pretty valid reason for “over reacting.” Lots of raw emotion, and it shouldn’t have happened this way. Tons of money wasted by fans of both sides because of the ineptitude, selfishness, and reckless behavior of a coach who you would hope would be a good example for the young men in his care. He continues his destructive patterns and he should be challenged on his behaviors and motives.Good lord we are over reacting.
I don’t think we need a constitutional amendment on this. Barnes expressed to White that he won’t play them again. So we won’t play them again. It’s that simple.
Here’s a new twist….Tennessee has reached out to some folks and have some questions, Memphis played at Barclays Center last month against Virginia Tech & Iowa State, on this trip they also attended Knicks game at MSG. Why is that noteworthy? Because both places require vaccines in order to be in the building, see Kyrie Irving Nets saga, so who wasn’t on this trip for Memphis you ask? Oh that’s right, nobody, they had full participation….
That won’t happen in a world of functional employed adults. Universities don’t make eternal mandates. In the secret space counsel of your imagination, this is possible. In the real world, notsomuch. Not meaning a constitutional amendment. I mean a U OF TN administration mandate. Barnes and White will not be here forever. My intent is to make this a decision above their ( or whoever it may be in the future) ability to make a "lets play a Memphis High game"..
